If you look closely you can see I have scanlines on here which greatly improve 2D games

Dreamcast might be the system i have the fondest memories of.

One low key aspect of it was how many horror games they had. Illbleed, carrier, blue stinger etc.

The creativity was insane during this time.

The only console that rivals it in my memories is GameCube which I also have so many great memories of. I still vividly remember buying one with Luigi mansion and super monkey ball.

Any lag with the HDMI box?
Nope, pretty damn responsive, though it does help to mention I use Game Mode on my LG which helps eliminate lag too....

Meanwhile, a new contender has entered the race :lupe:

Now for those who want to know why this is a big deal, a few of you might know that there are a few Dreamcast games that are not compatible with VGA, even with a codebreaker or the "switch" trick of quickly switching from RGB to VGA mode.

Two of the most famous examples is KOF 99 and Plasma Sword....

This component cable will be able to properly output those 480i/240p games that most of our present day flat screens can't do thru HDMI

man i got fond memories of playing MvC2 on dreamcast, it was the most official version, just like the arcade. Forgot the name of the nice high dollar gaming joysticks a few of my friends bought for it. Was like 200 each

Yall sure go through a lot for these games, im not knocking but me personally don't see it being worth the trouble and money maintaining a dreamcast.

If you're hardcore into Street Fighter and Capcom VS games, there's a lot there. There were also a lot of great games on it (Sega and otherwise) that never came out anywhere else. It was an incredible system with a great library, that you can get for free...

there was a solution for it, but i cannot remember, do any of you guys know of it?

Honestly I'd just buy another dreamcast

They're still somewhat cheap enough where you can grab one without a controller and cables for about 40-50 bucks
