In his first scene at school they made it very clear and obvious that Breh was a social outcast who got picked on with that fat black kid basically calling him a weirdo. He answered that bug question and got clowned for it. During that trust exercise when he fell to the ground he got clowned and his classmates made fun of him. When he came home after killing his uncle he lied about the reason why he didn't have shirt on and told his parents he got clowned and picked on while playing soccer. He thought it would be a good lie because he clearly gets picked on by people at school

Thats regular clowning not bullying and his lie was brushed off like a mosquito so his lie being "good" is put into question
