Wasn't there a consortium of black billionaires and they refused to sell them the cheapest team when they threw up their offer?! What good is all this ownership talk when cacs not selling to black folks that got money.
:what: remember that even if you have the money the current owners gotta approve that shyt anyways right???

That's why I'm thinking they just have to add more teams. These Owners will never give up power over these teams. Some of these teams have it running through the family too. Again I'm done with the benefit of the doubt. The Rooney Rule did help in some areas but now it's clearly not working as it intended. I agree with you about the current teams. They will never give them up to Black Ownership. If you can add a 17th Regular Season game and 2 new playoff teams than some new Expansion Teams with non white Ownership can be done as well. And yes I know about the Black Billionaire group, that was messed up. There's a reason we had the Negro Leagues in baseball originally. As you know we were shut out of all these sports at one time. Sports have integrated since those leagues but ownership level hasn't. I saw that that NBA actually has 14 out of 30 coaches are Black. But even in the NBA, MJ is the only Black majority owner though there are Black owners with minority stakes.

Getting to the playoffs is cute and all but 5 years NO playoff wins another season or two with no playoff wins going to be interesting. I love Tomlin (nh) but he isnt Cowher. If Tomlin didnt win any Super Bowls his first 10 seasons just like Cowher did he probably wouldnt be there.

Lol at you saying that and then following it up with Cowher. Bill Cowher should have at least 1 more ring but did bonehead shyt ALL THE TIME.

Stand by what I said. Again what good is making the playoffs and not winning a game. Pittsburgh is the standard for the NFL. All about winning there.

how much do you think it would cost to start up an expansion franchise-- and where?

It's going to cost a lot of course but I could see several big money Groups coming together. There's also no shortage of players that want to be paid to play Football same with coaches. As for where, you just have to find a market to add another team. New York has 3 teams. California has 3 teams. Texas has 2 teams. Florida has 3 teams. You get the picture. I'm thinking 2 more teams could be added like they did in the 90's. I say first look for a state that doesn't have a team. Washington covers DC/VA/MD but they also have Ravens for the DMV. Virginia does not have a team and many other states in the South. You got a couple states in the middle of the America. Most States will welcome the revenue that would be generated from a team. It can be done. There was a time the Carolina Panthers didn't exist nor the Jags both teams were created in the 90's. Because waiting on these owners to vacate we'll be waiting forever.

Here is one of my random thoughts on this situation, Don't know if it this was mentioned here BUT think about this coach for second:

1. This coach has been a HC for 15 years and has NEVER had a loosing season.
2. This HC has lead his team to SEVEN NFC north titles
3. This HC has had his team in the playoffs 10 of those 15 seasons
4. This HC has two trips to the super bowl
5. This coach has won a super bowl

This coach is the ONLY black HC currently in the NFL and other than Belichick who is the consensus GOAT HC, this coach is the second most successful HC in the last 20 years..

My point is and how it ties into the Flores lawsuit is there is not a "Mike Tomlin coaching tree", you never hear that talked about with the media, fans, or even steeler fans.

Belicheick has been getting coaches hired for the last 17+ years because of his "tree", and one after one they have been unsuccessful and it never stops..

The NFL is a reflection of our real society, you have those in the dominant society who practiced white supremacy and others who claimed they are not racist and some blacks who play dumb right along with them.

The last 48 hours the narrative is already changing with Flores, everyone who he spoke publicly about according to the media they have come back with "scathing" pushback condemning Flores, also Hue Jackson didn't help flores case either. I don't know what the end result is but what I do know is if Flores is offered a job this year he will take it, if nothing is offered then I do not see him getting a job again in the NFL.

FIVE coaches hired already this off season, none of them black. The most respected black former HC Tony Dungy is soft shoeing and walking the line but Flores is on a island by himself unfortunately even though us who are NOT playing dumb can see the BS going on with this league..

I asked that to say this:

the Broncos are for sale; it’s cheaper to buy them than it is to do everything you just proposed. Remember when Diddy wanted to buy the Panthers to accomplish everything you want? Turns out buying a franchise is expensive and the Black philanthropists who have “I can buy a team” money don’t really want a team, because there’s teams which pop up for sale in the 4 major sports and especially in the last 10-15 years, I’ve seen missed opportunity after missed opportunity.

It's not about the areas welcoming the revenue. The scarcity of the teams are what makes them valuable. The owners know this. They're not going to expand and purposefully dilute the value of their franchises. The only way something will sell is if it's something similar to the Bowlen's where the family is beefing over who controls the team so they're just selling it. The reasons they'd expand is to get a bit more money in their pockets from franchise fees, but they don't need to do that with their TV deals.

This article is from a decade ago when the supposed number was a 1.3 billion fee per owner. - NFL Owners To Split Over $2 Billion When League Adds Two Teams
- The Texans owner paid a $700 million expansion fee for the Houston team, 7 years before that the franchise fee was $140 million. IF they decide they want to expand to another team or two it's going to cost the new owners at least a few billion aka Bezos/Zuckerberg/Elon money.....and the franchise fee isn't even just buying the team. That's the fee they literally pay the other owners to become an owner of an expansion team and they pocket it.
