Thanks. I try to stay optimistic but sometimes reality likes to slap me in my face. He's the perfect guy for me and everything I hate about him are reasons why I care for him even more.
But sometimes it gets to me b/c I don't believe in sex outside of marriage and I know he is a man so I don't know what entails down the line. Like I said we just started dating and we're not bf/gf yet and that's part of the reason why.
No sex w/o marriage? :ohhh:

Any chick that doesn't want to be there on my way up can go the opposite direction.
You can't ride with me then you certainly won't benefit from my work.
I'm fortunate enough to currently be with someone who's going to be in my tax bracket all things considered, so that's a plus.
The entitlement some of these modern day women have is ludicrous.
Half of 'em didn't even finish their bachelor degree before dropping out and putting in an app to wash cars and greet customers at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, but they want the world.

yes, hence why I said I hope we make it.
I've been through my share of heartbreaks and it's just harder for me to date b/c of that.
But I just want to be happy.:to:
I'm not gonna stunt like that isn't big (dealbreaker personally) but time will tell. I think you'll be okay.

@MurderSheWrote at your bracket thats fair to say but what about women in the 10-15 an hour bracket themselves? Are they entitled to "need" the finished product?

This is a fair question. I logged back in just to answer you.

If a woman makes $10-15 an hour and she's cool with her man making the same that's her business. I wish them the best. Every woman is not the same.

With that said, I don't know any man (I mean REAL men who probably grew up with a productive father in the home or at least in the picture) who would be happy...

1). Just making $10-$15 an hour while trying to woo a woman/get a wife.
2). Making the SAME as his woman.

All the men I know are extremely patriarchal in their mindset. I'm almost willing to bet the dudes caught up in their feelings about my personal feelings on dating men making $10-$15 (keep in mind that I earn a salary that equals $53 an hour when broken down. Realistically, what the hell would I want with a man making $10-15 an hour?) are also lacking some real male leadership in their lives as well.

Let's also be honest about something else: Most of the men making $10-$15 an hour are probably STUCK making $10-$15 an hour (meaning this is probably the best they can expect to make unless they learn a trade like wielding). They aren't "on the come up." These are often the unskilled folks who back in the day would probably have a job in someone's factory. Today they are cashiers at Wal-Mart and dishwashers at the Cheesecake Factory.

Most aren't sitting in someone's classroom earning a degree in accounting or engineering or even learning a trade while making $10-$15 unloading packages for Fedex. If most of them are at Fedex unloading packages chances are this is where they are probably stuck. The next job won't be any better.

Y'all don't think women know this^^^?

We know it. That's why most of us won't take a ford escort over an established BMW with a proven resume of excellence.

Men want beautiful women....women want successful men. Don't bytch about it. Get up and make some moves.

Goodnight!

So you a proud golddigger that is teaching your daughter to look for superficial qualities in a man. Congrats on supporting the stereotype that all black women are money chasers. You probably don't believe in a damn pre-nup and probably divorce your husband for some damn alimony. I would never raise my daughter to be superficial. If I was a millionaire, I would avoid women like you at all cost.

Besides, I can make money anywhere legally that far surpass 30k per year.

And that's why MOST women end up in their 30's wondering why nobody put a ring on their finger. They make $15 an hour and want their man making 6 figures. They can't afford a proven BMW.

I would love to be the big breadwinner/spoil my partner type cause I do believe in that for a worthy woman. But realistically I and many others are in situations where financial shyt falls on both man and woman who live together, want to survive and do extra.

You can afford that proven BMW and I can only respect your honesty for not wanting less. But I think this mentality hinders relationships for women who CAN'T afford the BMW.

Champagne tastes but got beer money.

It sure as hell isn't enough to support a family alone or even yourself unless you plan to live with a roommate, your mother, or somebody's basement for the rest of your life.

This is false. Before I got married (the first time) I was making about $11/hr. and living in my own 1 br/bt/kt apartment for 3 years in the state with the highest taxes in the nation.

By myself.

Utilities included, rent was $600/mo., plus cable. Rarely went out, ate what I cooked, didn't need a vehicle.

It's just a matter of living within your means and having a plan.

What happens if I get sick or our daughter needs some type of expensive medical procedure that insurance covers at 80% (meaning the other 20% is on us)? What happens if he is injured on the job and forced to take a leave of absence that is paid only up to a certain period short of what he needs to get well??

$15 an hour isn't going to help with the above^^^

This is a valid concern, but easily answered. Hospitals have payment plans available so $15/hr. will be fine. There is also something called 'Charity Care' which offsets the costs of medical care for those who can't afford procedures that are necessary. An on-the-job injury calls for 'Workmen's Compensation'........http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workers'_compensation#Statutory_compensation_law

Try putting three people on medical insurance at a $15 an hour job.

No problem........http://www.njfamilycare.org/what_cover.aspx

Woman at my last job covered herself and her 2 sons for $12/pay-period and was making about $13/hr.
