Seems to me that the writtings are slowly on the wall for microsoft being a third party player. Them announcing that there putting xbox live on nintendo switch and other devices and moving to a more game service approach seems like the direction they are heading in. The netflix of gaming is on open lane for them if they do it right they could see a big trade off. Microsoft trying to play chess outchea and not checkers.

I remember playing Gears of War online like crazy and the majority of my friends having at least an Xbox 360 and when GTA IV and Halo 3 came out EVERYBODY was playing that on Xbox Live, literally a list of Friends online only playing 1 game. Especially those Halo days are over, thanks to them.
