Kudos to the republicans..

They saw where their party was headed ,didn’t like it and did something about it .Now the goofy shyt they believed in is now law .

While at the same time Democrats hold hands ,sing Taylor Swift songs and pretend the same ppl that have been in politics for 90 years doing nothing will magically change

This wasn’t a good move right before midterms and governor elections in the fall. A lot of independent women are second guessing their votes right now.

But not “alarmed” enough to kill the filibuster, not “alarmed” enough to stop trusting his “colleagues” when they continue to hoe him out by saying they will come to the table in good faith.

Once again the fillibuster does not need to be gotten rid of. People have to start looking at the bigger picture instead of operating on emotions especially with how the power of Congress swings back and forth. Get rid of the fillibuster and watch how quick Republicans fukk shyt up and there's nothing Democrats can do about it.

In about a decade and a half, these anti-abortion states are going to have an insane crime wave lol. Gotta love how a bunch of people born to unwilling and incapable parents is the "pro-life" stance
just more occupants for the cells for their for-profit prison homies

Republicans literally stole a Supreme Court pick from Obama because he was black and RBG refused to step down because she didn't want a black man choosing her replacement.

Democrats refuse to stop fence sitting in the middle and Republicans aren't playing fair, maybe now they'll wake up and stop trying to "reach across the aisle".

Voting rights are next on the chopping block.
This is what is comes down too. Republicans play to WIN. Dems keep attempting to be nice and gentle but Republicans only see that as weakness and go harder. Smh.

They really got Roe vs Wade overturned. I did NOT think they could do it but damn they did. I was on the road today driving back to Pittsburgh from Philly. Stopped to gas up and looked at my phone and was :wtf:

Depending on where you live, that could be hundreds of miles.
That means getting on a plane and paying hundreds of dollars and taking off of work.

Most of this country lives paycheck to paycheck.

Traveling out of state is a major burden for people.

Too bad. No different than traveling and paying for cosmetic surgery, or even another type of specialist in the medical field.

I feel really bad for victims of rape and women with health complications.

But the rest of these women….

You now gotta live up to the same standard society has created for men.

The whole “If you’re man enough to lay down with her, you should be man enough to pay and provide” trope rings off a little different now huh?

The concept of “forced birth” and being held accountable for your poor sexual choices isn’t new. For men. Welcome to our reality ladies.

Is it fair? Naw. But it’s never been about fairnesses

It would include black people treating reparations as a litmus test in primaries like advocates for almost every other leftist/progressive political issue. When was the last time an anti-gay, anti-abortion, or anti-immigration Democrat secured the nomination of the party? The model is right there.

You don't even get the nomination without us feeling comfortable about your stance on the issue. It becomes part of the democratic party platform as a result. Now it's on the democratic establishment to work with us to shift public perception on the issue because they have no choice. No democratic candidate would have a national political future without taking up reparations as a pillar issue.

All of the other progressive issues (gay rights, abortion, immigration) are now tied to reparations because a national democratic candidate:

1. Must support reparations to be nominated in the 1st place
2. Must be championed by the rest of the party to protect gay rights, abortion, immigration, etc...the shyt they care about.

We pull the cards of the rest of the left that's willing to go hard for everyone else's issues except for ours. Do you disdain black people so much that you will put your happiness and rights on the line for generations? It's high time the country answered that question directly.

The worst case scenario of this approach is literally what's happening now, but with a chance of some actual progress.

So what are you gonna do when parties unanimously decide to not include reparations in their political agenda?

Because your strategy is sound, and very much aligns with what I'm seeing from the people that you're critiquing. I have a feeling the only thing different is your answer to that question.

:hubie:

If they don’t go out and vote off the strength of this they don’t really care about this ruling .

Vote locally and this means nothing ..we’ll see what happens though

:wtf: But bro all the burden falls on the woman. She's the one carrying the damn baby lol. To say it isn't fair is a hell of an understatement.

Too bad?? More neglected children running the streets. Causing trouble because they have parents who don’t want them. Don’t compare this to a cosmetic surgery.
