Black coaches have the shortest leash in sports. shyt is crazy

but he didn't look the part, he looked lost
coli sounding like reddit

Even saw some posts saying similar stuff about Raheem Morris—despite the fact that 8 wins this season is the most the Falcons have managed since 2017.

Mistake hiring him in the first place, good guy but he didn't have near enough experience to be the HC of the team. He was taking over a really bad team also.
I never want to hear the experience card being used when there were multiple teams trying to figure out how they could hire Josh McNown 2 offseasons ago with his only experience being a volunteer HS QB coach

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
nikka i watch the nfl every week :dahell:

yeah they did nothing well because the team is AZZ back to back 4 win seasons and another one next year
Last season with 4 wins, you could see they still had a well drilled defense.

Dan Campbell's first season with 3 wins, you could see how hard the team competed.

Kyle Shanahan's first season with San Francisco they had what at the time was an innovative offense before Jimmy G went down.

Brian Flores first season in Miami between all that chaos and sabotage from his own front office, they had a well drilled defense and competed hard especially towards the end of the season.

Regardless of roster and wins, good coaches show you what they do well.

What did Mayo show?

You're a trolling Bills fan anyway so I don't expect a serious answer.

Is it wrong to fire him considering the roster they gave him? Yes.

Is he a colossal dumbass for winning today? Yes.

Both things can be true. I really think if he lost the game they would've given him a 2nd year, but he decided to stand on whatever business he thought he needed to. I ain't gonna get mad at the man for going out on his principles, but also it was a little stupid to do.

Good call by NE

You got a short window in the NFL to show improvement and if you’re not doing that, you’re gonna be out of a job. That goes for coaches, front office and players

If you’re underperforming your ass is on the clock especially if you’re the HC for a multi billion dollar, Super Bowl winning franchise. Y’all bein disingenuous as fukk if yall on here advocating for Mayo to get more than 1 season…the NFL got more parity than many other league, good coaching can quickly turn around a team’s success year over year

I feel bad for bro. But Robert Kraft is like 100 years old, this is a results driven business, should they wait 3 years for him to figure out how to be a head coach?

:mjtf: underperforming what exactly. I need to know what the expectations were this team as constructed before we start talking about under performance and what not.

I feel like more people are upset that he was not able to elevate the dumpster fire of an organization which is a ridiculous bar to place on a coach in year one.

I get you, I'm surprised they pushed the button and thought he would get another season BUT I think hiring him wasn't the right decision if you think about it. The mistake was made last season hiring him and not really feeling out other HC's. They lined up Mayo immediately and it was mainly down to him being a good guy that the players respected but I feel he needed more experience before taking over such a shyt show. Not sure what else happened behind closed doors because Kraft has always had a liking to Mayo so I doubt this was an easy decision. The OC and DC I thought would be gone this off season and Mayo would be given another but we need someone who has been there before or has extensive experience now.

The biggest mistake was they kept the same people under Belichick and promoted them. Belichick's biggest issue was that his past 4 offseasons, he couldn't bring in enough good players. He kept them somewhat competitive because of his coaching. Getting rid of the coaching and keeping the staff that helped make those terrible personnel decisions was always gonna be a disaster.
