Why are you acting confused that a casual viewer who goes out, does other shyt then makes time for wrestling later might miss the fact that it moved that night? Then he flips through, doesn't have FS1 and boom.

I just can't believe 1.2 million people were to dumb or poor to find Smackdown. It didn't move to a different night or time. It was on at the exact same time as it always is. Shouldn't be that hard to find. I can press the mic button on my Xfinity remote and say FS1 and it'll take me straight to that channel. 1.5 million watch Raw so not having cable can't be the reason.

This is a big deal for AEW’s contract negotiations, which I believe start sometime next year. When TV deal season comes, AEW can tell a network or streamer that they had more viewers below 50 than Smackdown.

As much as ppl be like “Oh yeah! Women’s wrestling ROCKS!” Nobody really care about that crap. Only reason I watch women’s wrestling is cuz a lot of em are fine. I will say Charlotte, Rhea Ripley, Bianca, Shayna Bazler, and Bailey can def wrestle, but having them main event and having long matches is overkill

All I know, is that for me, Rampage did not exist for me during the final 30 minutes of Smackdown.

I may go back and watch Rampage later, but if given a choice... I'm watching Sasha Banks wrestle. In general, I find AEW to be an objectively decent/good product and in general is more consistent than Raw, but the only thing they've got that makes me actively change the channel to them is Santana and Ortiz.

WWE stacked that head to head with their biggest names. A lot of people (including myself) are surprised with the result.

No matter how you look at it, Rampage being competitive with Smackdown in a cable vs cable battle is a win for AEW. A meaningless CM Punk match vs Sydal and Ruby Soho vs the Bunny stood their ground against Sasha, Becky, Roman, and Brock.

Tony Khan needs to chill with the twitter fingers though. He's on there talking shyt like the fans.

Also, per Meltzer, the Becky/Sasha match was beaten handily by Punk/Sydal in the 18-49 demo, .29 to .21. Some draw Punk is, huh?

In any event, WWE's going to be in real trouble when their older audience (really the only thing keeping their overall viewership up) falls off in the coming years. They're essentially propped up by Saudi money and rights fees deals at this point, and it'll be very interesting to see how USA and FOX looks at those deals once they expire in 2024 if their viewership keeps trending downward and they make no traction in the key demographics.

I'd *also* like to see the demo numbers for the 2013-2016 Authority era, as they drove off a significant segment of their audience in those years (around a third if the numbers I've found around the internet are correct). I wonder how many of those fans that stopped watching were 18-49s.

Those kids turn into those fans which is what Roman was alluding to in his remarks about AEW.
