so are we gonna track smackdowns ratings vs aew weeklys now?

or is this just a FS1 one off to play into the narrative?

I don’t care if SmackDown was on AXS, SmackDown should’ve washed AEW’s B show regardless and they didn’t, that’s sad.

That excuse wouldn’t apply if NFL had a game on FS1 and CFL had a game on TNT, so WWE can’t apply that excuse here

Bengals/Jags on the NFL Network had 8 million viewers and the NFL Network is in significantly less households than FS1.

so smackdowns usual ratings...they get literally every week... are actually outliers

i'll say it again, this is what some of these people think the Monday Night Wars was like. They think people sat around picking sides and debating "the demo". :mjlol:

Facts. Most people flipped channels back and forth and watched both shows, and most of the shots fired were seen as being corny as hell in the moment (Nacho Man/Huckster, Bischoff giving spoilers, Bischoff challenging Vince to a fight)

No, my point is that FS1 excuse is a bad one

How you got Roman, Brock, Sasha, and Becky and can’t even draw a million? Sad.

So…wait..

Just so I’m following…

What you’re telling me.. is this NFL game which was on the NFL network - which is in significantly less households than FS1 and TNT.. had 8 million viewers

More than AEW and WWE’s viewership combined and multiplied by 5….

And your takeaway was that Smackdowns sinking ratings on FS1 should have been higher because people watch Football wherever it is

:ohhh:

You might be onto something

Is that 8 million number just NFL Network specifically or does that include Fox and Amazon since they air the Thursday night game as well

But ain't the important rating the Fox channel rating and not the FS1 for Smackdown? Why would Fox be upset at WWE for decent ratings on their subpar channel?

They are still doing damn near great on Fox.

The only real thing that should ever matter if they were going head to head, and AEW continuously beat SD right?
Fox doesn't give a fukk about any of this.
This is about Vince wanting to crush AEW while trying to act like he doesn't even know that AEW exists and about TK wanting to stick it to WWE every chance he can get because as the upstart new promotion that type of carnival barker stuff gets people talking.
And then there are the stans who can't help but turn everything into a my team vs the other team contest because that is just how fandom operates now.
