And a game from a finals appearance in 2022 :wow:

Cinderella franchise :blessed:
You’re conversing with a butthurt fukkin Knicks fan!! Them nikkas are “back” every season. These the same clown ass nikkas who’s best years involved getting hoes by Michael Jordan. Their whole reminiscing of the 90s is based on being the runner up. “Remember when we made it to the finals and almost beat Hakeem? Those were the days!!! Remember when we made to the finals and almost beat Timmy D? Those were the days. Remember when we face Miami in 2012 and had the spotlight for a brief moment? Those were the days!” Bridesmaid ass poverty franchise. fukk them, fukk bad boy, and fukk New York! :pacspit:

Yeah I’m a butthurt Heat fan. :mjcry:

They keep saying Herro wouldn’t make sense on Portland because they have too many guards, yet they contradict themselves by saying Jrue was the better package. :dead:

I guess Jrue holiday is no longer a guard. :dead:

They swear we’re overrating Herro, when none of this is about Herro. They could’ve had 3 picks and still gotten Ayton and could’ve done whatever they want with Herro. Deal him, bench him, whatever. But they end up with a 34yr old guard in Jrue and are banking on a contender giving them picks for Jrue in return. Picks that Miami was offering outright anyways. :dead:

They act like Pat was offering Cronin Herro straight up for Dame and no picks. :dead:

The anti-Heat bias from the coli and NBA fans is incredible. They got Cronin gassed for a shyttier deal. :mjlol:
Tyler Herro is a guard that does the same thing as those other two guards. Simons and Herro are basically the same player

I think Cronin saw the situation over there in Philly and Harden threatening to sit out if he didn't get traded and wanted no part of it.

With that being said, this makes Portland and other small teams look bad as this the 2nd time that Milwaukee has pulled of a major trade as a small market team. The narrative that small teams can't get star players just isn't there anymore like it used to be.
That narrative is about FA, not trades. Trades and the draft have always been a small market's means of getting a star. The issue is getting stars to go willingly or to stay. Now to your point MIL has done such a good job that Dame was ok with going there. But thats mostly about having drafted a star :manny:.

Dame didn’t have a choice in the matter even if he didn’t want to considering he’s under contract the next few years. He took the extension and gave up what future leverage he had. Portland had a star in Dame as well, yet never took the risks that Milwaukee did twice is my point.

Even Cleveland swung for the fences with Mitchell.

You see it.

So essentially Cronin made this personal. I wish people would stop bullshytting about “Milwaukee offered a better deal than Miami”. Dame publicly wanted Miami, Cronin wasn’t feeling that, and took the first non-Heat deal offered. Portland would’ve ended up with Ayton and 3 picks with the Miami deal. :manny:
Of course its personal. Dame made it personal. Wanting to leave is one thing. Trying to force my hand publically when you got 3 years left is disrespectful. Portland didnt do the best job building around him, no doubt. But they never hesitated to open that wallet. They never fronted on him or threw him under the bus. And if we being real, based on how the Heat move, them picks gonna be in the 20s anyway.

With what? What did they have to swing with?

They've had years to go big name hunting, but instead insisted on building through the draft outside of FA signings that were complete bust. They had a chance to get Kevin Love years ago with the Hassan Whiteside expiring and chickened out.

Even NO tried it years ago with AD by swinging for the fences with Cousins and that was even with them wasting years of picks and poor FA signings.

At least try even if you fail so at least the narrative won't be that you didn't do everything you could to keep your star player happy.

A huge calling card of Jrues game has always been his low center of gravity strength and how that makes him a solid defender. But that aspect of Jrues game got exposed something fierce against Miami in 2023. Herro is a microwave bench scorer. I get that Portland doesn’t need that at all. But imma just wait and see who and what they get for Jrue. :hubie:

On that note, let the games begin.

Kevin Love breh? Come on :mjlol:. If the only big swing you had in you was Kevin Love post 2014...you aint have none :heh:

If they were doing such a poor job then at some point that falls on Dame for continuing to sign extensions. Why should they try if thet got you locked up guaranteeing sell outs and national attention? Giannis won a chip and had a squad that could compete next and what he do? Applied that pressure. If he was poppin that "loyalty, dont run from the grind" foolishness which is nothing but a plea cop for poor GMing then Dame probably wouldnt even be there.

You're proving my point without realizing it :mjlol:

They didn't try to go after big names. Hell, they didn't even go after semi big names That's my entire point. They were a playoff team for years, yet never even tried to take the next level in going after a big name to put themselves up there with the elites. That was one of the biggest complaints about them. They wanted two first round picks to move up to to draft Zach Collins when they could have used those picks to go after a more ready player. They gave up two picks to go after Robert Covington of all people when they could have been used elsewhere.

Milwaukee did everything that they could to put a contender around Giannis. NO did the same thing with AD or at least tried, so the narrative that Portland couldn't try and do it either is complete bullshyt. You're acting as if we haven't seen other small market teams like Cleveland (even after Bron left) and NO swing for the fences to keep their star player happy.

If your star player actually wants to stay and be there, then that's on you to try everything in your power to put a contending team around them, which is what Milwaukee has done twice and all done Giannis tenure.

Have you been to Portland?

Whole city is complacent :mjlol: anyone can pass through and out hustle them people
What you're talking about doesn't have anything to do with what I said :mjlol:

If other small market teams even more smaller than Portland could swing for the fences, then there was no reason why they couldn't ever do so either.
