These mother fukkers don't get it. Blah blah virus. Blah blah product of there conditions. Because of that it's ok for them to sell and promote poison to there own people? :francis:We are so lost man.

This is all part of the plan. Leadership comes from the man of the house. There's a reason why there was a concerted effort to take the black man out of the household. This is something that no other race had endured. Cut off the head and its offspring will be lost.

This only proves the point many of us are trying to make. These issues would be here whether hip hop existed or not. Many of these rappers are a product of this environment

Breh, it's too far gone at this point. Why nobody sees that, I'm not sure. I'm all for being optimistic but I'ma call shyt like I see it too.

We would have had to get the bullshyt under control years ago if there was gonna be a change for the better. There's been generation after generation of nikkas being lost and it's gonna take generations to fix the issues, but we haven't even started trying to fix them yet

This thread waaay too heavy, in my area im like the only breh in my class

Whats sad is there are a few sisters here in there, and its not becauss of no opportunity, alotta brehs choose to be in the streets or the corner, not even lying, my old homeboys calle me a "square" for being trying to better myself

I never said it was ok but what they talk about is no different than what is being said on the streets. Y’all wanna keep blaming the music but hip hop could literally stop being made tomorrow and we will still have these issues in our communities. We need to attack the virus and not just the symptoms

Naw I see too many white kids and latinokids emulating hiphop to believe it wouldnt atleast help

On the subject of latino, alot of them look down on blacks, while emulating rap/hiphop

I'm not trying hate @PhonZhi because I agree with you. I want to point out white people celebrate their acts of violence by carving faces into mountains and naming schools and counties after mass murderers. People call them settlers or explorers. I see any kind of rap as art and rappers as artists. Someone else may view rap and rappers as violent criminals.

It's all perspective my guy. People are who we see them as.

so what does eminem rap about? washing black babies in milk? he makes music about killing, raping, drugs like the animal he is

Eminem is corny and satire, also he doesn't rap about the lifestyle

Hes really just a lyricist, that meshes various rhymes together and topics together, but ppl dnt bump to eminems music

Why are white people your benchmark?

And these nikkas are rapping bout killin people that look like you and me.... Not the clear enemy.... Which is white folks.

I could respect if the "opps" meant white people... But it doesnt.... It means black people

These nikkas are enemies of the community... Not heroes or artists.

And stop comparing blacks to cacs.... We better than cacs goddamit

White people are not my benchmark. Plenty of rappers discuss killing non black people too. "Op" means police, so those police could be something other than black my guy.

To you they're enemies to the community.

Mac Dre talked about crime and violence but he also unified the entire the Bay Area under one flag. Some would view him as the leader of gang, a convicted felon, and an enemy to the community. Others view him as an artist who unified the Bay Area.

Perspective my guy, perspective.

I never called anyone a hero. You thinking you're better than people is what separates the two of us.

I can feel the hatred in your heart when you typed "these nikkas."

I understand, but you have to let that hate go G. You can't tell 21 Savage he's out of pocket for perpetuating ignorance while you call him a nikka out of hatred. As much as you hate it 21 is a part of our community as is KRS-1, Dead Prez, De La Soul, and Nas.

Rap is an art form. Someone who raps is a performer of rap, which is art, and that makes rappers artists.

First off, the vast majority of you will hate this thread. You will get furious at the words you are reading :fire:. You won't understand it. Only a very small % of you who will read this thread will understand and agree. Matter fact, the thread will probably end up in the bushes because the truth often is very offensive. Won't be the first time. I'm learning more and more everyday that only a small few of black people are gonna make it in the end. Those small few like-minded people are gonna have to be the pioneers and break away from everyone else and lay the blueprint for a new start.

Somebody posted this vid in a random thread recently and I clicked and watched it:

Its yet another vid of black people shooting guns and showing off how violent, dangerous and savage they are. The entire song is further promotion of the most negative stereotypes of the black race. This song and video is standard now when it comes to black people. Videos of shirtless young black men brandishing weapons and pointing finger guns at the camera are one of the main images of the black race worldwide.

I mean, just check the thumbnails to these vids:

"Media propaganda" is hands down one of the most effective tactics that has been used against blacks for a very long time now. "Media propaganda" attacks the image & reputation of entire groups of people. "Media propaganda" has even been used throughout history to JUSTIFY the extermination of entire groups of people (think Hitler's use of propaganda against the J*ws).

What makes "media propaganda" so extremely effective is that its often disguised as ENTERTAINMENT. Yes, movies, songs, plays, magazines has been used throughout history to demonize and criminalize the reputations of entire groups of people.

At one point in time Minstrel Shows were the biggest form of entertainment in America:

mkrYpHa.jpg

These theatrical plays featured white people donning "blackface" and portraying blacks as every negative stereotype you can imagine. Even though it was ENTERTAINMENT, it shaped and molded the idea of blackness of everybody who watched. Again, Minstrel Shows were at one point the biggest form of entertainment in America.

Whites wrote songs, poems, movies and came up with all sorts of propaganda images to showcase how inferior, dangerous and violent blacks were:

aCGgY96.jpg

9k48ZR3.jpg

The 1915 film "The Birth Of A Nation" was the main cause for the reemergence of the KKK. The film portrayed blacks as savage rapists and the film was used to JUSTIFY violence against blacks. Lynchings against blacks rose dramatically after the films release.

Everything you've read so far is what white people have done to destroy the reputation of black people.

Fast forward to 2017 and we now perpetuate those very same stereotypes about ourselves. :wow:We now have decades worth of songs and videos of OURSELVES telling the world how reckless, irresponsible, dangerous and violent we are:wow:

Go back up and watch those videos again. Minstrel Shows still exist heading into 2018, except now whites don't have to perform in blackface, they now pay us to do the jobs ourselves. Fukking brilliant:mjcry:

And the most brilliant part about it is the fact that most black people view these Minstrel Shows as "just entertainment" and not a psychological strategy. Most black people are totally unaware that these images are assisting in helping to continue destroying the idea of "blackness". They will get outright offended at the fact that ENTERTAINMENT has been used throughout history as a way of demonizing and criminalizing groups of people.

Alot of black people get furious because we overall have little to no knowledge of past history and the techniques that has been employed against us. ENTERTAINMENT being used as a weapon is a "conspiracy theory" to alot of you reading this simply because you're ignorant to past history. You have no idea that the techniques of white supremacy evolve as time goes on. The same techniques that were being used in 1817 and 1917 are still being used in 2017.

White supremacy thrives on black people being hated and feared by the masses. "Media Propaganda" is the #1 tool being used to JUSTIFY to the world that black folk are better off dead or in jail. (Btw slavery was transformed into the Prison Industrial Complex)

Even if you are black and don't listen to or even like the types of songs above, YOU still have to carry the burden of the negative stereotypes perpetuated by it. This is why often times blacks have to wear our hair a certain way. Dreads for example has been demonized. Durags has been demonized. Certain types of clothing has been demonized and ect. You walk into a store and the reputation of "blackness" precedes you. And then you wonder why you're being followed around. You wonder why when things like the Trayvon incident happens, the world automatically ASSUMES that he deserved what happened to him and sides with the white man off rip.Trayvon was automatically labeled a "thug" and more than likely was up to know good, initiated violence (one of our main stereotypes) and his death was justified at the hands of fat pig Zimmerman. Its because the world has been conditioned to fear and distrust "blackness".

Ironically, the very same things we :mj:&:stylin:to, are also making our lives more difficult and dangerous. First thing these cowardly cops say is "I feared for my life", even tho the brutha is not a threat in the slightest:

Its a tough pill to swallow, but its the truth. I can go on and on about this. I can even get into how these stereotypes leads to our own self-hate and us fearing and distrusting EACH OTHER. Its extremely deep y'all.

To the 90% of you who will get furious at this thread, I plead with you to open up a book. Study Minstrel Shows and other psychological warfare tactics that has been used against us for generations now.

And to the select few 10% who will agree with this thread, :salute:

Y'all do what y'all want with this thread. Discuss peacefully, furiously namecall, deny its truth, throw it in the bushes, whatever. I just had to get it off my chest. I don't make these threads that often anymore but every now and then ill see or hear something that will compel me to speak on it. These words come easy to me so its not a lot of effort and time whatever the outcome is.

Peace

Not even 1 percent of black Americans are criminals so racist people who are educated socially by media gonna believe what they want to believe. Fukkum.

The historical cac data ten times worse yet clowns still worried about what they think.

A rich man can always pay a dummy to do dumb shyt.

Young people in 2017 have opportunities to be anything but a cacs puppet so it's unfortunate generational poverty can still claim so many victims

Tbh I couldn’t care less about non blacks emulating us. Their parents should control what they’re kids listen to. But for the sake of argument I’ll say that non black kids been emulating us since the 20s and jazz suffered from a negative image problem as well until it became white washed. Same thing with rock and roll

I’m more concerned about our kids and the environment they’re growing up in. The same environment that produces this negative mindset that translates to art. It’s like y’all never heard the phrase art imitates life before

See too many ppl from the burbs emulating to

This is a chicken or egg argument, but at the end of the day, why do so many play defense attorney to rap/trap music? Is it that entertaining?

Every time this thread is made I have to remind OP that the music is a symptom of what’s really going on in the streets. If we want the music to change than our entire culture needs to change. nikkas out here on the streets really living that life aren’t being influenced by rappers and music videos. If anything they are the ones influencing the rappers and music videos
The main problem isn't the producers of the music. The music in it’s purest form is an artistic outlet to express what black men experience in the inner city or America generally. It's the consumers who dictate the market for what is profitable and acceptable. Reflection of your harsh reality is one thing while repeated unremorseful glorification of murder of black men is something else entirely. Consumers have a responsibility to discern the difference and support/reject accordingly. This is the case with all forms of commerce, art and artists not just hip hop.

But is it a good thing that commercial rap (not Hip Hop in my view...) has been around for decades as the primary form
of black youth music?

What happened to our ability to regularly create and re-create new forms of music?

Spirituals, Blues, Ragtime, Swing, Bop, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Hard Rock, Funk, Disco, House, Reggae, Hip Hop, Rap.

Does our historical creativity and music invention forever end with rap?

It's in our blood, we were recreating and crafting instruments for ourselves during slavery. Accounts of our ancestors attaining mastery of cac instruments in a short amount of time. Teaching music too

Being a trained musician was an escape from the harsh live, it got some of us out of slavery. that's why we innovate the music culture because it's still that way for a lot of people.

The next wave is ours like it was before
