This thread shows me that the time of hyper-negative rap is almost over.

When @PhonZhi started making these threads showing the harm perpetuated by hip hop, there were a lot more than one person deflecting from hip hops responsibility. He would be getting dragged in these threads.

I only see one poster and a few daps still fighting.

What's needed is a 2017 P.E. with good production. We're ready!

I don't rap anymore but I'm trying to put together the type music we need now.

There's going need to be a hip hop Civil War. Where artist say "fukk being friends with negative rap", fukk sales, and begin calling rappers out. Saying their names and why they should be shamed (It would lead to war in the streets but the sacrifice needs to be made).

We're going to move the fad from being gangsta or thug, to being pro-black and a soldier.

It will take positive music to combat this negative music! We're going to squash all this flossin (making cacs stronger). We're going to end the glorification of being a crackhead!

Also, I gave you guys the solution to how we can take the music industry back and cut these cracka record labels out!

Hip hop should be OUR industry, owned and regulated by US.

I'm all for Hip-Hop over-representing us in the media. But, it's deeper than that. And we literally have no power in music.
:stopitslime: we have all the power in music in the world. Have you ever heard of the internet?

You constantly hear these nikkas yelling independent this and that... if they're truly independent and have control over their music, what's stopping these artists from making positive music?

All facts but the numbers don’t lie. We’re overepresented in that department.

Woah surprised by this thread. Are we as black people finally going to address the violence we faced in it communities as a result of people who look just like us?

Last time I tried to speak on this I got accused of using blue lives matter propoganda about black on black violence.

You got rappers like lil Durk tatting BLM on his arm while his lyrics talk about ending black lives smh.

But is it a good thing that commercial rap (not Hip Hop in my view...) has been around for decades as the primary form
of black youth music?

What happened to our ability to regularly create and re-create new forms of music?

Spirituals, Blues, Ragtime, Swing, Bop, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Hard Rock, Funk, Disco, House, Reggae, Hip Hop, Rap.

Does our historical creativity and music invention forever end with rap?

The problem is when the media uses certain weak-willed black women to glorify money in order to corrupt the young black men to become enslaved by the money even if it means selling their souls to their oppressors and that hate, jealousy, envy gets directed back at black women so those ppl start dating outside their race because they now assume black women are golddiggers and become the OJ of the media. Hope y'all understand.

Plus you don't see the media portraying many white women as golddiggers.

Hip hop started off on a good note but turned into one giant minstrel show and has done more to hurt black people than it has to help.
Once it started perpetuating black women in a negative light, it went on a steady decline. The key to our growth is to glorify our women instead of being a #GMB and HOH. We should only dog white women.
