I mentioned to a friend yesterday that this whole thing was just weird judging by the initial reports.

I just don't understand how a person can't tell they are on fire and don't bother taking their jacket off, scream for help, yell in agony, or at the very least stop, drop, and roll. From what I've read, it sounds like she just stood there in a disturbingly lifeless position as she was burning, which gives me the impression she might've been suicidal, or I wonder if this was a human sacrifice. NYC used to have a lot of those back in the 80s and 90s, cult-like satanic ritual shyt.

Also, although they said he simply lit her on fire by lighting her jacket the way she burned, he had to have some type of fluid like gasoline he lightly sprayed on her; a simple coat being lit up isn't gonna flame up like that. Unless she was suicidal or a part of some dark, twisted shyt, and maybe her jacket was laced with a flammable substance, and this guy knew her, and the shyt could've been planned.

Something wasn't right about the victim or the attacker as it's claimed he sat there on a nearby bench with a straight face as he watched her burn. I don't know; NYC subway stations always attract a lot of crazy mfs riding and lurking on the trains, day and night, so there's no telling what this might've been about despite the reports .

I could be just speculating with some of the above since I haven't been following as much, so maybe there are some updates I'm not fully aware of, yeah, we know the guy is an illegal immigrant who's unlawfully been in the US for 6+ years but it feels like there's more to the story than this just being a “crazy illegal immigrant randomly and violently burns American citizen” headline as some are making it out to be .

wrong wrong wrong, people park their cars near subway stations all the time to catch the train into t]he city, i've opted to use the train instead of driving into the city more times than i can remember just to avoid having to deal with parking and looking for parking.

On the flip side, you got folks like me who will willingly drive into the city and pay the toll or pay for parking to AVOID riding the train because it’s that awful of an experience.

She could’ve choked on the flames while alseep before the flames got to her body.

That's actually what tends to happen with some that end up dying in home fires. They sleep through the fire and die before the flame even makes it to their body.

I know it almost happened to me a few years ago if it wasn't for my youngest sibling waking us all up and making us aware of the fire in the kitchen.

We don't know what might've been going through this woman's head prior (days, weeks, etc) to her attack; she might've had some mental or emotional issues.
