Yeah but I think social media is playing a big effect on perception and reality.

I promise you the subway was 10x worse back then, we just did not have social media or cameras to pick up on all these crimes. Now that crimes are being reported it's seen as there is a major problem.

Nikkas was getting stabbed up, robbed for their phones and coats, mentally ill homeless people assaulting others, gang fights, etc. All of that was happening daily in the mid 2000s and early 2010s.

And ironically, all crimes are not being reported
