actually, Biden won NY by 23 points, Kamala won it by 11 :dead:

liberals got massively rejected in this election. people are tired of the bullshyt. Democrats need to shape up before 2026
Your right mamba. What I was really trying to express is that New York still flipped for Kamala. So I think that's enough to experience some Trump outrage.

But idk.

Yeah, it’s the worst, it’s not like people didn’t report crime back then.

When I was growing up there wasn’t this many homeless. I didn’t grow up seeing syringes and orange tops everywhere. That was some bygone era shyt.
Yeah but I think social media is playing a big effect on perception and reality.

I promise you the subway was 10x worse back then, we just did not have social media or cameras to pick up on all these crimes. Now that crimes are being reported it's seen as there is a major problem.

Nikkas was getting stabbed up, robbed for their phones and coats, mentally ill homeless people assaulting others, gang fights, etc. All of that was happening daily in the mid 2000s and early 2010s.

This is true as far a violent crime that’s definitely down but there’s way more homeless on the trains these days

They’re in the carts smoking crack and k2 without a care in the world

All this still happens.

From my perspective in the early 2010’s there was more gang shyt especially in the BX because that was the WeMobbin era but imo that was more of a concern for teens. It was more dangerous to flash an iPhone or have a pair of headphones those things now are common commodities.

However, the amount of mentally ill people and homeless is way larger than at any point in my life and there was no fentanyl then.

Its no way murders aren’t being reported and the data is clear more people are being killed now in this post-pandemic era.

I agree with you totally about the mentally ill homeless people. A lot of shelters are overcrowded and NYC shut down most of the mental institutes during Covid but never reopened. So many hospital staff quit too becomes the state does not pay them enough to deal with them. :francis:

Agree on this.

However even then, I still feel back then was worse cause all the other crime besides murder was up and in no way am I trying to defend how shyt it is now. :manny:

The only time I feel it's comparable to the early 2010s is 2022. Feel like everyone was losing their mind that year.

It was not always like this.

The problem is the rideshare vehicles

There needs to be a 70% reduction in rideshare vehicles on the road.

But that idiot Adams allowed them to increase to 100k vehicles on the road so now we have thousands of Ubers and Lyfts just taking up space looking for fares causing unnecessary traffic.

Yet another reason why I'm done with the Democratic Party after June.
Low key rideshare/doordash made a lot of places less dangerous.

Don't forget all the Amazon delivery trucks. You already mentioned the Citibike depots. I'd be remiss to leave out the increase in cars on the road due to the pandemic. Everybody loves their "free" 2-day deliveries without realizing life always has trade-offs.
