Here's a question, say the Lions scored a TD to tie the game with the extra point. You think Dan goes for it or he kicks the extra point? I think every other coach in the league kicks it. Dan, who knows?
But didn't he do some fukkery shyt against Dallas and that cost them home field advantage in the playoffs? Could have played this game at home (yes I realize the 9ers probably have their starters in and win the last game of the season and nothing changes).
All I know, is that this type of loss can be the type of loss that leaves a "what if" all pre-season... then everyone picks the Lions to win the North again... high expectations... then have close loses... key injuries... and all of a sudden that dark cloud envelopes the franchise again.

That man is a detriment to victory. Every macro decision you could make to blow a huge lead, he did, Ben Johnson and talent is the reason that team wins. Dan Campbell been a hack. Calling a run/timeout at rhe end of the game is such bad coaching he should be fired off the rip just for that

he was smart enough to take the field goal earlier in da game. If he kept that mentality, they woulda won.
I'm not gonna take away from what he did this season because detroit had a hell of a year and he had a lot to do with that. But his ego and madden mentality will continue to get the best of him. He doesn't know when to scale back. Gift and a curse. There's a time and place for everything.
Everything lined up perfectly for them this year, it will be very hard for them to get back here next year

We've been playing this way all season, and it worked. I'm never going to get mad at a coach sticking to his game plan or identity. You go for it because you expect your guys to make plays. Reynolds dropped what would have been an easy 1st down on that first 4th down. I have no respect for arguments that are purely based on hindsight.
If you want to kill someone, kill the OC for going empty backfield on the second 4th down. Campbell did nothing wrong.

Gambling/aggressive play calling during the regular season is buying scratch offs and cheap lottery tickets. Gambling/aggressive play calling today with a trip to the Superbowl on the line was gambling while being three months behind on your rent and having to pay back or serve time for a PPP Loan that you scammed from the government. He failed 3X at the 2 point conversion instead of kicking the PAT to tie the game. That was a message from the football gods that aggressive play calling will do you in at the end.
Tonight he had to learn that lesson the hard way. If I was a Lions fan I would be glad it happened in the NFC championship game and not the Super Bowl..
