I leave the news on in the morning and his story hit the cycle repeatedly this morning

fact is only Diddy and Cassie know what really happened. And some things Cassie said in that lawsuit have been confirmed by 3rd parties not suing Diddy you make of it what you will

Between this settlement, Kap vs. the NFL, people vs. big business etc. Our current system makes it easy to bury the truth. I'm sure Cassie's attorney advised her to settle. If she would have gone with the lawsuit, Diddie's legal team could have push the lawsuit forcing Cassie to incur more legal and court costs. Sometimes people settle because they realize they can't afford a court case that will take years. That's why little people settle lawsuits the majority of the time against people with big money. They can get priced out.

Folks need to understand sometimes you can't have justice if you can't afford it.

This really. She better hope he is actually in love with her or she gives up that money to him because she now has a target on her back and the cac has a way out. If he offs her and takes the money, he can make it look like a suicide, have the local police buy into it because he's white (and then some), and have people looking at Diddy sideways because of his rep (because they'll think he did it), or Diddy may actually try something, such as going after her kids or the guy, via his connections or outright some mobster shyt (unlikely because no one around him would let him do obvious shyt like that - part of why I'm skeptical about Cassie too).

That said, the settlement was probably just to make the whole thing go away quickly and be buried in the news cycle. He has connections to other companies and other people and I'm willing to assume many of them were ready if not already dropping him from their shyt. At a certain point, these celebs are more than people, they're walking talking businesses whom a large number of people are tied to.

Do you know what a civil lawsuit is? The person who settles quickly is the loser. Cassie BROUGHT the lawsuit, Puffy is the one who rushed to settle it. The ball was in his court. He could have contested the charges, and took it to trial, but he settled. He's the loser.
