If I bank robbery gives you a note its gonna to give me the money with a threat its not gonna ask you to withdraw from the account

you have to show your ID to withdraw money anyway, she didn't even give him a chance just assumed by his appearance

you don't need a private room to withdraw no damn 12k, I'm pretty sure Coogler does this all the time which is why he felt comfortable, he richer than you how you gonna tell him about his banking habits when you don't withdraw 12k on the regular like he probably does

Where did I say you need a private room to withdraw cash? The man clearly didn’t want other customers in the bank to see how much he was withdrawing hence him asking her to be discrete. Booking an appointment would have solved this issue and avoided this situation. It’s not hard to understand :dahell:

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Black Panther director Ryan Coogler was mistaken for bank robber and ARRESTED after a passing note to pregnant Bank of America cashier asking them to withdraw $12,000 from his account and count it 'discreetly'
  • Coogler walked into the Bank of America branch in Atlanta in January
  • He passed a note to the pregnant cashier asking for $12,000 in cash
  • He wrote: 'Please do the money count somewhere else. I'd like to be discreet'
  • The bank teller mistook the incident for an attempted robbery and alerted police
  • Cops arrived and detained two people waiting for Coogler in an SUV outside
  • They then went inside and put the 35-year-old director in handcuffs
  • They let him go once they realized the incident was a misunderstanding
  • It remains unclear why Coogler needed $12,000 in cash
:mjpls:

Black Panther director Ryan Coogler was mistaken for a bank robber and briefly arrested in January after walking into a Bank of America in Atlanta wearing sunglasses, a hat and a mask and asking the cashier to 'discreetly' withdraw $12,000 from his account.

The incident occurred sometime in January but was revealed by TMZ on Wednesday morning. Coogler, 35, walked into the bank wearing a green hoodie, black beanie and sunglasses.

He passed the cashier a note which read: 'I would like to withdraw $12,000 CASH from my checking account.

It remains unclear why he needed the money, or why two others had driven him there in an SUV to retrieve it.

:mjpls:

'Please do the money count somewhere else. I'd like to be discreet.'

The note spooked the cashier, who was described in the police report as a 'pregnant black woman'.

She called police claiming Coogler was a bank robber.

Police arrived and detained two people who were waiting for him in an SUV parked outside.

TMZ reports that they then went inside the bank and placed Coogler in handcuffs too.

Once they realized it was a misunderstanding, they let him go.

That note he slipped her can’t be real. How tf this successful ass obviously smart dude do some dumb shyt like that. I wouldn’t even be messing around with regular ass bank tellers at his level

Just cause that nikka make movies don't make him smart. I work with highly trained technical engineers who don't even know the difference between a verb and a noun. :mjlol:

Not joking. I was on a conference call where we were building out a cloud environment for a customer. There was something that needed to be done but didn't have an action item beside it. Instead of saying action item someone said "put a verb beside that." Dude who I have seen do some outlandishly difficult technical work said "a what? a verb? what's that mean:dwillhuh:" After we clowned him he was like "don't need to know what a verb is to cash these checks so:manny:"

So he got wrongfully accused cause he goofy as fukk basically. Breh not important like that. Nothing wrong with being discreet and lowkey. But y’all saying breh was in Atlanta pulling out 12k. I’m sure he’s known but come on dog, you not Michael Jackson. Ain’t nobody worried about that funky ass 12k. Do this nikka think someone was laying on him in the bank, noticing how much money he had, then was gonna rob him when he left :pachaha:

This nikka talking about don’t count it right here and use the money counter in the back :mjlol: nikka you getting 12k, not 100k. Nobody care about that light as 12k. nikka I could post 12k cash right now. It’s 12k nikka. The fukk. That ain’t no damn money. This nikka passing notes like he got Scrooge McDuck money or some shyt smh

mfers wait out in front of currency exchanges all the time for far less. They hang out at the casino sticking people up for far less. I thought you were in the know.

I have a hard time believing that this is all he gave her. Surely he’s used a bank before.
It looks like that's on the back of a withdrawal slip. He was giving her directions cause he didn't want anyone lurking to think they had a lick on their hands.

I was on his side until I saw the note. Dude didn't put his name or checking account # on the note and handwrote it

I don’t see the issue he clearly say “my” checking account. At that point she should have asked for ID

He probably wanted to be low key & not draw attention as you never know who watching.
Y’all be weird, one thread saying black men always getting treated badly but in another turning on a fellow breh with the quickness :scust:
