Having worked in banking for many years and knowing how KYC/AML processes work, if Coogler walked into a random branch he's never been, with sunglasses on and passed a note EVEN if he was ID'd beforehand, that shyt is very suspect. Maybe the real Ryan Coogler is tied up in a trunk somewhere, and they want to drain his accounts. Private Banking exists for celebs and athletes for this very reason. Others said it, he probably owed someone for something

Tellers can be reprimanded hard for the littlest fraud loss, and when it's a publically exposed person (celeb) with millions in the account, you have to exercise proper due diligence.

Maybe she couldve called the manager over, but who knows. It sounds so bizarre that I ain't mad at her response.

I hear what you are saying…. but it seems like there were other courses of actions that could’ve been taken to properly identify Coogler as opposed to escalating directly to law enforcement

Where did I say you need a private room to withdraw cash? The man clearly didn’t want other customers in the bank to see how much he was withdrawing hence him asking her to be discrete. Booking an appointment would have solved this issue and avoided this situation. It’s not hard to understand :dahell:

All he said was be discreet about, not, don't let anybody see you

I swear yall retarded, also he could've just been riding saw the bank and said let me get some money right the bank right here, or maybe something came out and he needed the cash to do something or to go the damn strip club, IT DOESN'T MATTER

The fact is he wasn't trying to rob the bank he was his account, he said withdraw, he didn't GIVE ME THE MONEY, you have to show ID to withdraw money so she didn't just get on the phone and call the police right in front of him

He had to wait for the police to get there, this is all takes time, she looked him and taught he was trying to withdraw money from somebody else's account period

If he was a real bank robber, she would've gave up that cash and he would've been gone before the police could get there

So he got wrongfully accused cause he goofy as fukk basically. Breh not important like that. Nothing wrong with being discreet and lowkey. But y’all saying breh was in Atlanta pulling out 12k. I’m sure he’s known but come on dog, you not Michael Jackson. Ain’t nobody worried about that funky ass 12k. Do this nikka think someone was laying on him in the bank, noticing how much money he had, then was gonna rob him when he left :pachaha:

This nikka talking about don’t count it right here and use the money counter in the back :mjlol: nikka you getting 12k, not 100k. Nobody care about that light as 12k. nikka I could post 12k cash right now. It’s 12k nikka. The fukk. That ain’t no damn money. This nikka passing notes like he got Scrooge McDuck money or some shyt smh

When was the last time you withdrew any amount of cash by handing a teller only a withdrawal slip? :usure:
Had to do it twice since December actually
:unimpressed:

Had some Mexicans doing some work on my house. I paid them in cash. The bank I use with the funds doesn't let you withdraw more than 1000 from the ATM, so I had to work with the teller (I did this through the drive through as well). First payment was $2500. Filled out the withdrawal slip with my ID and debit card and they gave me the money. A lot of these banks aren't letting people take out thousands of dollars from their ATMs so you have to use the slips and teller.

so no one in atlanta has been making withdrawals of over $10K while wearing a mask during the last 2 years?

I understand both sides, as I hate banks. I sued my last job which was a major bank. I tried to sue chase for discrimination but no one would take the case, and I tried to sue Wells Fargo for an incident involving my balaclava mask, but no one would take the case. I fukking hate banks.

That said, I have had more than enough experience with situations like dudes. And dude may not have broken the law, but he did have behavior that would possibly cause concern inside a bank.

I believe he was trying to be unnecessarily over discreet (which is his right) but that he put the teller on alert. The teller may or may not have been following protocol, but part of protocol may be them getting to may judgement calls. She probably legit felt something was off and was just wrong.

If he filled out his account and withdrawal info on the other side why would he write the withdrawal amount again on the back?

Wasnt shyt on the other side of that paper that’s why. :mjlol:

Bruh went into a bank with a mask, shades, and hat then handed the teller a note saying “run me my money”. :heh:
:manny:
I don't know, seems like a miscommunication thing here more than anything

:mjpls:

I’ve taken out 25k at most cash from a bank but I took off my glasses and mask so I dunno. Could be a case of profiling

Breh, you can have bank security escort you out if you that concerned. It’s not like he leaving the club lol. I’m definitely not mad at him for trying to be discreet. I’m saying that they way he tried to do it was doing way too much. How many people are getting robbed when they walk out a branch in broad daylight, or getting layed on by someone in the bank and follows home and robbed?

The process ain't perfect for sure. In my experience, it's cash based contractors who have the most difficulty getting access to funds and dealing with holds placed on large cash deposits, yes I said it, holds on cash deposits lol...

Cash based businesses are the easiest way to launder money, so contractors and people who own legitimate paid parking lots and laundromats have to deal with this shyt all the time. Sucks
