both their movie careers failed, especially Aaron Paul's.
Aaron Paul....yeah.
Bryan Cranson has basically been acting for fun since "Malcolm In The Middle" ended....apparently he has some kind of crazy residual deal and the money is so good he could've retired before "Breaking Bad" even started.
Fred.
I agree re: Aaron Paul and if you watch the behind the scenes of the final BrBa season you can even tell that Paul knows his career has peaked. It's kind of sad to see. You can tell he genuinely doesn't want the show to be over, not only because he will miss it and because it was fun, but also because he seems like he knows it won't get any better than that for him.
Re: Cranston though I would say his movie career has been good. He only takes projects he's interested in for reasons
@hex said. He's loaded and has no desire to become a leading man or a movie star. But he's often the best part of the movies that he chooses. I'd also give him credit for being a good voice actor, which is not easy because you can't use your facial expressions. That movie Isle of Dogs was pretty bad from a voice acting perspective but Cranston killed it.
Lesser actors would easily have been typecast as either Hal or especially as Walter White. One of the biggest testaments to Cranston's skill level is when he's in movies or TV shows I don't just see Walter White or Hal. Contrast that to Aaron Paul and I just think Jesse anytime I see him in anything else. I'm not saying he's a bad actor at all, but Cranston is a top shelf talent.
