I'm gonna check this out solely because it's going to be a magnificent train wreck. Remember that other thread, where we talked about how all these specific things had to come into place for "Breaking Bad" to work? This show will have none of those things.

No Bryan Cranston. No Aaron Paul. No Bob Odenkirk as Saul. No Jonathan Banks as Mike. No Giancarlo Esposito as Gus. No Mark Margolis as Tio. No Steven Bauer as Don Eladio.

No Vince Gilligan. No Michael Slovis on cinematography. No David Porter on music. None of the same writers or directors. :patrice:

A Spanish version is redundant because I run into mad Spanish cats that love the show.

Fred.

you frontin like it can't be as good breh :lolbron:

Yes Ricardo Darín. Yes Álex González. Yes George Lopez as Raul. Yes Bill Paxton as Gus. Yes Ed Asner as Uncle. Yes Steven Bauer (no accent) as Boss Evans.

Yes Edward James Olmos. Yes Fat Joe on music. Writers and directors who will work harder for less.

You can change the premise enough to be a good show . If they try and do a Straight remake it clearly won't work culture alone with a white sheltered teacher interacting with a culture more readily known to minorities and young people in that area .

:laff: @ the bolded!

But man, that's a terrible fukking idea if u ask me. I might check it out for the f*ck of it but they should just dub the original and be done with it.

I would really be surprised if the remake is dope. Usually remakes are freaking terrible although it worked for Ugly Betty.

Ugly Betty was originally a South American show called Betty La Fea and the American version had great success so who knows?

It will probably suck tho.

Breh, if they're naming the main character Walter Blanco....matter of fact, pardon me, I gotta laugh at that shyt a sec....

Anyway, if they're doing that, it's obviously a straight up remake. Whether or not he's white is irrelevant. The character arc is going to be exactly the same, from what I've heard there is no plans to change the premise.

Remaking "Breaking Bad" with none of the original creative elements would be like me handing you a kid's paint set I copped from Wal-Mart and telling to you finger paint the Sistine Chapel in my garage.

Plus we took Shameless from the UK too and its great

Homeland is based off an Israeli series.

We do it all the time, so i dont see the outrage.. there's a chance it could be good.. very slim though :jawalrus:

this

i dont see why people dont think it can be good

they only have to change a few minor things to fit the mexican culture

it has a 50/50 chance to be good just like any other remake
