A nation-wide manhunt is a nation-wide manhunt. :wtf: "did they know him in Santa Monica". Uh yeah, because he was #1 on America's Most Wanted. You're acting like Santa Monica is another country.

And :russ: at "Whitey in Santa Monica is the same as Walt in New Hampshire". You can't be serious. Walt was in a shack in the middle of nowhere. Whitey lived right in the middle of town, was sociable to neighbors, went grocery shopping 2x a week, was known at local restaurants, the barber shop, etc.

Imagine how unrealistic it would be if right in the middle of the manhunt for Walt, he moved to California and lived out in the open for 10 years while #1 on America's Most Wanted. That's what Whitey Bulger did. Walt was in town a couple days and somehow that's impossible to believe.

Fred.

Walt chilling in Boston in the open 5 years after fleeing would absolutely be believable. Nobody in Santa Monica knew who Whitey was or what he looked liked five years after he fleed

Nobody knows the top ten most wanted...most couldn't name a single person on there, certainly not identify any pictures.

Be honest here, can you name the current most wanted? I cant, I only knew Whitey
cuz I lived around here. I went to college, and no one had ever heard of him. The Departed increased his notoriety, but he and more importanly, his face was unknown to most.

You trying to argue that Whitey settling down years later 3000 miles away from the area he used to terrorize is comparable to Walt moving around with ease months later in the SAME fukkING CITY he terrorized (eapecially a city as small and dull as that one) is insane. :mindblown:

Key words.

He wasn't out ordering grand slams at Denny's and shyt. :stopitslime:

The cops didn't even know Walt was in town then.

Re-watch the episode. You're acting like Walt was driving down Main Street in ABQ with the windows down bumping "Mr. Scarface Is Back". :childplease:

After the police find out he's back in town he goes to a total of three places in ABQ:

1. The Grove Cafe
2. Some kind of department store for tools/items
3. Skyler's*

That's it. And that was while other people were calling in seeing him all over the place. He was in town for less than a day, and went to 3 places. That's not a plot hole. That's nothing. A plot hole is, in season 1, episode 1 Walt's car has a handicap placard for his son that says 12-27-08....but in season 4, which is supposed to be less than 1 year later, he's driving a '11 model car. That's a plot hole.

*Also this was mentioned earlier but the cops weren't watching Skyler's apartment. They were watching Flynn get off the bus. Where they were parked they couldn't even see her apartment.

They had sufficient evidence when they raided his lab in season 1 and seeing how his friend (forgot his name now )

That wasn't his lab it was Emilio's.

They never seen him there anyway. He dipped out while they were inside. And Hank and Gomez are arguing about who Captain Cook is before they go in....Gomez bets "it's some dopey white boy"....Hank says "nah, it's a beaner"....and after they raid the place they assume Captain Cook is Emilio, because Gomez loses the bet.

Actually its not. Walt driving a newer car can be called a historical error, but it has no relevence to the plot and they never even mention what year its supposed to be

i honestly thought the show was pretty sound :ehh:

a few decisions characters made (gus calling marie before the DEA) were obviously to push the plot, but for the most part vince gilligan made the show as realistic as tv show could be.

speaking of marie, her kleptomania seemed thrown in there, they never really tied that to anything other than that 1 episode with the spoons.

True, but I'm trying to give these guys something to actually complain about.

He was walking around freely. You're willfuly turning a blind eye to that. In reality, the cops would've known he was in town cuz, uh, he was the closest these people had ever come to a notorious criminal; his face was splattered all over the news for months....someone would've called him in. It's all fiction, so it's your prerogative to accept that, but I don't cuz it doesn't make sense. (In addition to him driving cross country in a car they knew he stole).

And by golly, people DID call him in, so you trying to compare this to Whitey living 3000 miles away amongst people who don't know much of anything about him or what he did is just stupid.

On a serious note (not sure if this one was mentioned) the Cartel shot the shyt out of at least TWO of Gus' Pollo trucks... Both were left just sitting there, riddled with bullets, dead bodies and blood and shyt everywhere-- for just any ol' body to find... how did that NOT spark an investigation on Gus/Pollos?

This is the biggest plot hole in the story for sure

Especially considering how hank was so deep in the investigation .

Im not gonna pick apart the show, because you can do that to any tv show or movie, but...

Its been my experience that you cant fire an m60 that long and consistent with out it jamming/locking up. You have to fire it in 3-5 shot bursts...military brehs help me out with this one.

You can fire them long enough to dump drum mags and stuff like that. Eventually if you just keep laying on the trigger you'll have to change the barrel because they'll heat up so much. But peep.

In the 2nd video Chris Costa is not depressing the trigger the entire time, but he's doing bursts moreso because he's standing up and shoulder firing the weapon, and if he just held down the trigger it would be very hard to control. You don't really see people standing up firing M60s from the shoulder like a rifle. I just uploaded it because Costa is a boss.

But how would the police or anyone recognize Walt when his appearance changed so much? Walt could've walked in front of the police and they wouldn't have known who he was because of the beard, new glasses, full head of hair, and clothing... all of which is makes him look like a hobo.

:what:

He looked like Walt who hadn't shaved...and like I said, people did recognize him as they were getting calls that he was in town.
