How the hell did Jesse get that tribal tattoo on his right hand, when Walter was thinking back to their earlier cooking days...I don't recall Jesse having a tribal tattoo on his right hand in Season 1...

They actually addressed this in interviews.

He didn't take the teacher job because he had to. He took the teacher job because at that point he had a defeatist attitude, and he wanted a job that he could blend into, that nobody would judge him for taking. If he went and worked at Wal-Mart or some shyt, everyone would :wtf: "you're wasting your potential"....but going to teach, any time someone said "you should have a better job, you're way overqualified" he could fall back on "I'm doing it for the kids, to educate the next generation". Which sounds noble but it's bullshyt because he just had no self-esteem or motivation to do anything else with his life.

Fred.

man that's still a reach. Doesn't he have a Nobel prize in Chemistry? He couldn't blend in at a job a University?:what: You probably don't even need a Masters to teach high school chemistry in New Mexico.

Junior asks Walt for BRAND NEW Dodge Challenger... and there wsn't a single bit of p*ssy in sight. The only companion we ever heard about hjim with was Louis...

Why the fukk did Walt buy you that Charger "Flynn"? :dahell:

On a serious note (not sure if this one was mentioned) the Cartel shot the shyt out of at least TWO of Gus' Pollo trucks... Both were left just sitting there, riddled with bullets, dead bodies and blood and shyt everywhere-- for just any ol' body to find... how did that NOT spark an investigation on Gus/Pollos?

Lol a noble attempt breh but it still makes no sense for the simple fact that there is a thing called 'college professor'. He could still teach, make decent money, and had the prestige of being a professor. The plot would make better sense if he was some loser loner wallowing in self-inflicted misery... but he had a wife and a special needs kid that he had to provide for. It makes no sense when you add the fact that he hated the job and wanted to make more money for his family. The whole defeatist attitude thing is just a weak cop-out the writers put together for a convenient "geek to boss" plot.

Like I said, a better plot would be that he did something horrible in the past and got blackballed for it and had to take that job to survive.

:stopitslime: right back at you.

He lived in Santa Monica, California for over a decade, where he was finally arrested in 2011. Went shopping 2x a week, ate at fancy restaurants, etc. He was out there, not hiding, not ducking police, while #1 on America's Most Wanted. Like I said:

http://www.lamag.com/crimeinla/2013/09/23/hiding-in-plain-sight-whitey-bulgers-secret-socal-hangouts

So :what: are you talking about?

Fred.

Did he steal a car in Boston and drive it cross country to Santa Monica? :lupe:

Furthermore, no one in Santa Monica knew who he was. Everybody in Albuquerque knew Walt and his face...he had to be folklore down there. Yet he moved around unnoticed?

If Whitey went back to Boston a year after fleeing he'd have been scooped up quick. Whitey chilling in the open in Santa Monica is akin to Walt chilling in New Hampshire....no one has a problem with himgoing unnoticed in that bar, it's that tthe Feds knew he stole that car and he went unnoticed by authorities in his own damn town.

Agreed.

There's also the example of Gus Farace, a low level mob goon who killed a DEA agent in 89. They put him on the Most Wanted list and put 500 hundred men(half of them were DEA/Fed guys) taskforce on him. They were searching all over the country and even abroad(Italy) for him. Meanwhile he was hiding in New York. In fact, they didn't even find him. He was on the run for 9 months until he was found shot to death(by his mob buddies) in Bensonhurst.

A nation-wide manhunt is a nation-wide manhunt. :wtf: "did they know him in Santa Monica". Uh yeah, because he was #1 on America's Most Wanted. You're acting like Santa Monica is another country.

And :russ: at "Whitey in Santa Monica is the same as Walt in New Hampshire". You can't be serious. Walt was in a shack in the middle of nowhere. Whitey lived right in the middle of town, was sociable to neighbors, went grocery shopping 2x a week, was known at local restaurants, the barber shop, etc. for 10 years.

Imagine how unrealistic it would be if right in the middle of the manhunt for Walt, he moved to California and lived out in the open for 10 years while #1 on America's Most Wanted. That's what Whitey Bulger did. Walt was in town a couple days and somehow that's impossible to believe.

Mike took care of it. He gets a call in episode 6 that season, while eating dinner with Jesse, then leaves to clean that up.
