All the medical experts seem to unanimously think that opening up in current conditions is a bad idea. We cannot allow people to overcrowd hospitals and push our medical system to the brink.

Even if they opened up, consumers aren’t dumb. Their behaviors are going to change massively.

You can’t possibly think that even if trump declared “it’s open” that people would listen. Nobody would be shopping, traveling, etc until this is ACTUALLY done.

i know for damn sure, me and mines ain’t going NOWHERE, no vacations, limited store runs...shyt nothing until at least next year.

Trump can open shyt up if he want to, the result won’t be much better :francis:

i got way too much to lose be being so careless.

At least he is torn. There are pro-open it back up people who either dont care about people’s mortality or think opening stuff back up would make people start working like they were in Early March. Even if everything was not closed, after the virus got to run through people for a month, folks would be begging to government to do something. Think of the deaths and cases today...but imagine we never closed up shyt the past month.

This would be a much worse situation. The government can float the country while we fight this. They simply dont want to.

The lawsuits and insurance claims ALONE would bankrupt those businesses.

Oh bruh for sure. There is a ton of ignorance out and about cause you better believe litigation will take place against corps that show they dont give a fukk, not to mention small businesses giving a glass of corona to a few folks will have people staying away anyway.

All if this should have been looked at in January.

Thats what these pro "open businesses up" people dont understand. The moment the first person who collapses on the job from the Rona, would get hit with a class action lawsuit.

From where? The magical Dollar tree? Already 8 trillion in stimulus packages has been "printed" That's the combined annual GDP of Japan +Germany in TWO months.

If this continues, the international community will lose faith in the US Dollar as reserve currency.

The end result is inevitably hyperinflation and a collapse or WWIII.
They find Trillions of dollars for various bullshyt all the time. They have to do whatever it takes to keep this economy afloat. Put money in the hands of the people

A significant number will come back. Even if businesses don’t, others businesses will pop up to offer those services. People will fly again. Maybe not as much as pre-COVID, but significantly more than currently so people will have to be hired to meet the needs of that increased capacity. Ditto other nonessential industries (such as sporting goods stores, clothing stores, electronic stores, hotels, gyms, restaurants etc).

I’m not saying that everything will just go back to normal, just that that 22 million represents the worst case since significant number of those jobs will come back once businesses are allowed to open again.
How can someone come back to a job that doesn't exist? And where do you think any entrepreneurs will get capital from to start a business? And why would you think a new business would hire the same amount of personnel as a mature one? I don't mean to be rude-- but some of you need to take an economics class desperately.

This shyt really exposing that the best of the best isnt who is running thr show. You have an actual doctor telling the president what he needs to do and other people in the international community telling our leaders "this is what needs to happen. This has worked for us. If you want to save lives listen to the science and these strategies" and the morons in charge literally cannot comprehend what they're saying. Its proof that these people are in charge because of who they know and what kind of favors they needed to do to get there. :scust:

People who recover from the virus dont even return to how they were functioning before. Many people will need O2 in their old age and puffers in young age. We're talking generational shyt here. Meanwhile the people on top have bought into their own hype and think that they're fukking invincible. Some of these cats are so stupid that it will take them getting sick and coming close to dying to realize human life is more important than money and all the millions theyve hoarded doesnt mean shyt if they die before they can spend it. Even then there isnt a guarantee theyll ACTUALLY understand that. I swear some of the motherfukkers in charge actually have learning disabilities for real.
