When Niketalk's banksthatdude2 opened up his 'Bobcats' Air Jordan 10 box over the weekend, he found a surprise — the 'Venom Green' Air Jordan 10 that isn't due until late-March.

Everything else checks out; the box is correct for the 'Bobcats' colorway and they were purchased directly from Foot Locker. Nike reps suspect a warehouse mixup, resulting in this lucky collector getting his hands on the yet-to-be-released colorway.

What's also interesting about these photos is the clear sole. In earlier sets, the 'Venom' 10 featured a green and solid grey rubber outsole. Could this be the final retail version? Or was it produced in error? Perhaps a new Nike strategy to stump 'early release' sellers?

One way or the other, the 'Venom' 10 will officially hit retail on March 22.
