Just finished the novella, The HellHound Heart by Clive Barker. I'm about the watch Hellrasier again to see what was changed in the adaptation.
The book was very good and I sort of forgot how good Clive was as a writer.

Just finished reading Tender is the Flesh by Augustina Bazterrica

:merchant: I don't even know what to say.
Cannibalism has always creeped me out so this book had me like 🤢 at times.

Definitely going to keep an eye out for this author's future work

Finished up the remaining stories I had left in Night Shift.
Great blend of stories. I think stories like The Last Rung on the Ladder, The Woman in the Room, and even I Know What You Need showed early on that he wasn't a pulpy genre fiction writer like how was got labeled by the "literary" critics

Finished reading Pet Sematary this morning.
Probably the bleakest book I have read from Stephen King. Definitely prefer the book over the two adaptations.

On Halloween (actually Nov 1) when I got back from seeing Terrifier 3 I read a couple of short stories:

Eleonora by Edgar Allen Poe
The Jaunt by Stephen King

Oh yeah, a couple of days before Halloween I read another two short stories by Clive Barker from the collection The Inhuman Condition:
The Inhuman Condition & Down, Satan!

I really never read fiction books. But, seeing some of the discourse here I should try it out more often. Currently I'm almost done with

"The System: The Glory and Scandal of Big-Time College Football"

I had forgot about this book years ago, and then was at the used book store looking for something to read on my upcoming flight and came across it. Flew through it. Would definitely like to see a follow up now in the NIL era.

Finished Hit Refresh by Satya Nadella (Microsoft CEO) finally after putting it down off & on for the past year. It's a good read, just dense af & not really interesting if that makes any sense.

Also read Obsessed by James Patterson. Book premise listed on the byke was a crock of shyt. I know bro ain't no Stephen King but I enjoy some of his stuff from time to time at least but this wasn't hittin' nor did was it about what it was supposed to be smh.

I believe James Patterson uses ghost writers which is why he releases so many books.

I finished MF Doom's book and currently half way through Hakeem Olajuwon's descriptive biography that just released. It's more information in this than his autobiography that was released in '96

I finished reading The Dead Zone by Stephen King last night. Had a hard time getting in the mood to read after the election, so I had a couple of days where I didn't read at all.
The Dead Zone was the right choice with Greg Stillson's political run being similar to Donald Trump

Saw this while leaving the library. It's a decent read. I didn't learn anything I hadn't been taught or studied before but it's nice to get that refresher and hear information you are aware of presented differently.

Just finished this and couple days ago. Picked it up before I knew it was a show. This some thick, dense ass 500+ pages but overall it was a good read and page turner.
