the toughest thing is knowing when to dump your options, especially when you believe in the trade so much. I mean these options are on pace to be up 50% by EOD considering FB's premarket activity. 4 contracts expire June 14 so all it takes is one announcement or rally to get effed over. Then I got 9 contracts expiring in January so time value so i dont have to worry about those as much. Hmmm....I want the latter to begin getting in the money before I sell.

That shyt is key right there. People wanna get out and nobody wants in. Simple economic theory says the price has to go down

edit: That shyt just changed in seconds. I dont know if somebody cancelled the order or what. Cant wait til market open either way :blessed:

:russ: I had a heart attack when I looked at it myself. That makes sense, and this is a good teachable moment because it made me read up on it. I was thinking something crazy happened that I didn't know about, but it makes more sense that they're trying to look good on paper.

I'm definitely trying to learn before investing, so I'm going to PM you my e-mail address for that report. And if you re-activate your Twitter let me know, I'll def follow.
The reverse stock split seems to be working :leon:, many large orders yesterday you might wanna take a look

My philosophy on options is to take profit whenever I'm up 50%. It's too volatile and you can lose it quickly. And I buy contracts that expire the next month so my window to make money is relatively smaller.

i hear you. for the FB Puts that expire next friday I planned on doing the same thing (50%). With these about 80% of the value is intrinsic though so I'm not too worried. If Facebook can get down to 22.75 by Wednesday I'm selling though.

These six month ones though I'm good on, I truly feel Facebook might be in the 18-20 range by October. If they are I'll be laughing. I'm tryna triple up on those options. Only thing is I might sell, continue monitoring the stock and then dive back in at a cheaper price if possible.

edit: Both are officially up 50%

Good luck with FB. I hear you on why they could go down that low. I don't see how they can monetize mobile users without really affecting user experience negatively.

I recently played JASO and FSLR. These solar companies getting jacked up just didn't make any sense to me and figured it was going to come crashing down:pachaha:

LMFAOOOOO Bro I almost played JASO, I was playing RSOL however!!! I was long on it. Made about 200 of a small investment...sold. And then I jumped back in and got burned for about 150. Literally aas soon as I bought again at 6.85 it came crashing down.

So I basically broke even after fees. I dont know what was going on with those microcap solar stocks weeks back.

I wonder how Solar City is doing now.

But yea man, if I was going into the FB options blind...I woulda been dumped. But I truly am confident with that January Put and the short interst is so tiny that I don't expect any blow up to occur from good news either. shyt is gonna hit 23 today probably smh. I dont know why ppl hit the casino, the stock market >>>>> especailly as a student.

I made a nice play on JASO. Bought Jun13 10 Put when it ran up. Sold it a week later at 50% gain. Kinda kicking myself since I could have made even more if I kept it. Also played FSLR same way when it opened up a gap.

sold the one that expires next week....fuggit :pachaha:. 60% on that bad boy. Underlying was at 23.02

Wish I had put more into that one though, profit was about $170. Not bad though for only 3 days.

Look a couple pages ago hiphoplives4eva was buying it and I was telling him how the owners all sold their stock and gave up on the company months ago. They're going to zero.

I sold my shares in Zyga a few months back when it shot up after the release of the 2012 q4 results. I put all of my profits in NOK.

Lets hope NOK hits it big.

And @newarkhiphop its clear your not an investor, your just here to make fun of people that lose money. Feel free to exit this thread and leave it for those actually interested in trading.

Looking for a bounce off these last two days. Even if the bounce is temporary. Retail investors are getting shaken out.
