Folks running to the next plantation to be further enslaved by their smart phones, still social distancing. All these data collecting/mind controlling/social engineering hubs and not enough people acknowledging that shyt for what it is. That like button turning people out where theyre throwing their entire self confidence out the window. Enough is enough. Its good to have access to reach more people in the world but in reality, thats just an illusion to fall victim to shyt that is controlled by somebody else

It's great that @bsky.app has committed to letting our data be ours, and not use it to train #AI models. But as this article shows, we're still not entirely safe from 3rd parties scraping user content. Does @jay.bsky.team have a strategy for these outside agents...

a bookmarklet to turn bluesky post urls into embeds.
You can copy and paste this into the URL field of a bookmark in your browser to use it as a bookmarklet.
on mobile you can name/save it as "bsky bluesky embed" and just search "bsky" in address bar and press it then it'll run.

How It Works:
- The bookmarklet uses a regular expression (blueskyRegex) to find links that point to Bluesky posts.
- If the link matches the Bluesky post format, the script checks if the URL contains a did:plc: (DID) identifier or just a user handle.
- If the URL contains only a handle, it resolves the handle to a DID using an API request to Bluesky's identity service.
- Once the necessary information (username and post ID) is gathered, it creates an iframe and sets its source to a URL that embeds the Bluesky post.
- The iframe dynamically adjusts its height based on the content it displays.
- The original link is replaced with the newly created iframe on the webpage.

It's starter packs. I had a bunch of people follow me thinking I'm going to spoon-feed and dumb down every post because I'm in a journalism starter pack and are then astonished when they realise the reason these bizarre impenetrable posts are in their timeline is because they in fact follow me.
