Mostly liberal, but more than that it is crazy how polite conversation is even when there is a back and forth. The reduction of the spambots and outright Nazis is a win. If the principled conservatives come over more they are welcome and they may now that many of them are off Elon's dikk after his rant.

A lot of people got to realize one of the things that benefited Twitter wast he utter collapse of Myspace and Tumblr along with FB fatigue. Arab Spring, COVID and BLM made Twitter huge as well. Now that Twitter is basically an even more heavily censored disinformation hub, I think there will be a steady migration. Honestly, a lot of the "high engagement" toxic types can stay on Twitter.

I am on Bsky and Black Bsky (yes there already is such a thing) talks about real shyt. No gender wars, dissing Black women, or talking about "dusties". Just a positive, intellectual vibe. I would rather a Black Bluesky 10% the size of Black Twitter that is actually thoughtful and productive than bringing all the toxic and "New Black" shyt over.

I think if Trump and Elon begin showing their ass and quashing all dissenters on Twitter like they are doing now with non-Tech MAGA, Bluesky will see another jump.

I just ran another search test using the calibration word "T i t s", letters together with no spaces. While some of the results did actually reveal bosoms on women. There are still far too many deplorable results coming up that have no place what so ever in that category of search results. Having thoroughly reviled those search results I will retain my contempt until those matters are in proper order.

Is it failed?

At this point any Twitter alternative will have the same trajectory. A lot of people will sign up, but since any new platform will not have the level of engagement that Twitter took years to build up to, people will get bored and leave. If people expected any of these new sites to become mid-10's Twitter overnight, even with thousands of sign ups, had drastically high expectations lol.

The Indians vs White people wake up call H1B visa fukkery this week proved why Twitter is unlikely to be dethroned

People are elevating bluesky for what appears to be polite liberal conversations, but that's not what drives engagement on social media

People want fukkery, memes, porn, etc. It can't just be "we're so smart" political discourse

The Chicago Transit Authority has deactivated its X social media accounts, which was formerly known as Twitter, the agency confirmed Friday.

The Chicago Transit Authority has deactivated its X social media accounts, which was formerly known as Twitter, the agency confirmed Friday.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Transit Authority is no longer using its main accounts the social media platform X.

The agency confirmed to ABC7 Friday that two of their accounts are no longer active on the site formerly known as Twitter.

The CTA and CTA service alerts X accounts now have disclaimers saying they are no longer active.

The CTA released the following statement Friday:

"After careful consideration, CTA has decided to suspend the use of its general information (@cta) and service alerts (@ctaAlerts) accounts on Twitter/X.com, as this social media platform no longer provides the value it once did for us to effectively reach and communicate with our riders. The @CTARPM account on X.com is unaffected and will continue to provide project information and updates through the remainder of project work. For real-time service information, CTA riders are encouraged to sign up for our subscription alerts available via text/email, which can be customized to provide information for preferred routes. For the occasional CTA riders, real-time service alerts will continue to available at transitchicago.com."

No further information about the agency's decision to leave the social media site was immediately available.
