I think Director changing or total dev change has proven in many games to show a noticeable difference in direction and nuances of a game, usually for the worse, unless the initial game had problems or it was just a remaster or something. But if it's moreso the changing of the guards of the low-level peeps, then it's probably not going to be a big deal.
