You've already finished your NG+? First time I attempted the DLC was on NG++ and it was fukking ridiculous. I just said fukk it after a little bit and played it with a different character. I eventually beat it on NG++ but I had to experience it on a 1st playthrough first.

My NG+3 character is over 200 but I did a lot of grinding, plus chalice dungeons. 130 should be aight but it's gonna be hard as hell no matter what.

Well I did the Trophy run on NG+... I cleared everything and went through the Dungeons right at the checkpoint where I can fight Gehrman. If I cop the DLC right now at this point, will the DLC area open up for me? Or will I have to start another NG?

you will be have to go back to where you fought amellia look on the alter grab some item i forgot what it is, but once u do go back to the hunters dream and there will be a headstone or some shyt next to the insight shop

Pretty sure once you buy the DLC an item will appear on the steps in the Hunters Dream once you have beaten Amelia and you pick it up, then you take a left out of the Cathedral Ward and go where that big ass thing can pick you up and that starts the DLC.

Also... Laurence is the only boss in the game that I feel was a bit on the cheap side.



I got him down to his final phase plenty of times, but the fact that you really don't have an opening ever to hit him cleanly during that phase made it some bullshyt. I didn't watch any videos to beat him either, but I'm a def check some out now, just to see what people did to beat him smoother than I did. I ended up just using the whip version on the Threaded Cane when he changed so I could damage him from a distance without stepping on the fire he was spewing out everywhere

I've been stuck at Central yahman for 3 days now..

I've gotten better but once I die, I'm back to the same stupid spot and have to go through all the bullshyt again.

Where are the checkpoints in the game?

I really don't want to watch video walk throughs just to beat this game. But I'm tired of playing the same parts over and over again. It's like I'm Tom cruise in that edge of tomorrow movie.

Rely on the gun, its the best tool in the game. A lot of players when first streaming the game, just hurled themselves at enemies/bosses, expecting to button mash away, only to get parried, killed, etc. You need to learn the pattern of said enemy, abuse the gun, destroy.

Use the gun....dat stun is the realest thing in the game.

I've seen some different Laurence tactics, but none make the fight look easier.

If he didn't have that trail of lava behind him he would be food.

Saw a strat with the bow and arrow where the guy literally spammed him to death... lol

Haven't played in a while but when I started consistently beating Laurence I noticed a pattern to when he crawls around in his later phase and there is a thin window you can hit him multiple times but you have to be strafing in a certain direction to counter the direction he's going.and its after a certain number of crawl steps he uses.
