I don't even know anymore...
Before going back to the Unseen Village or Lecture Hall, I went into the Old Hunters DLC to test the waters. Died a few times quick-like to the random hunters with Beast Cutters (crazy range) until I figured out how to deal with them. fukking dogs killed me twice, I died once to the Fire Hammer Hunter, and I died a couple of times to the big ugly executioner at the top. Finally killed his punk ass, then went in and got what I needed to get (thought I was walking into a Boss Fight), then made my way through to the Beast Hunter guy. He fukked me a couple times until I figured out the move: pull him out of his area down the stairs into the open area, and: Blade of Mercy.
Lawd the Blade of Mercy is wonderful . Eileen's quest hooked it up with the ability to buy that, and the faster Stamina Recovery Rune you get out of it. The transformed mode is so fast, you can roll into an enemy, hit him with the R1 attack (double blades to the chest), then just let the hands go, and it just keeps getting faster and faster. It's probably gonna replace the Saw Spear (man, I love that weapon too...especially against beasts with the Fire Gem I have on it) as the compliment to Ludwig's Sword for me.
Since Beast Hunter guy was a dead end, I guess I'm gonna have to go down into that River of Blood with them creepy looking things wandering around. That sucks, but of course this is Bloodborne, so what else would I expect? I'll probably go mess around in the Unseen Village the next time I play and see what's good with that.
Love this fukking game man. They basically got EVERYTHING right with it. Hope DS3 can follow in it's footsteps.
