:wtf: Why are some of you dudes so bad at parsing out morality? Is it really so hard to evaluate the actions of everyone in this situation as individuals? one stupid act is not justified by a prior one. The stupidity of the mother does not justify the barbarism, incompetence and bad judgement of the officers

Do u know anything about aggravating factors?

Or is it u just can't stop your mouth from blabbing like some doofus?

Yes, but you clearly don't. :camby:
They pertain to increased severity of sentencing and conviction. It has absolutely nothing to do with how officers are advised to exercise judgement on patrol. The actions of the officers at the scene was at the very least questionable, why the fukk else would there be a police internal investigation?

:heh:show me you're an idiot.

No. they pertain to the actions of an offender during the commission of a crime.

If I take a phone off a table, it's a mere petty theft. If the owner pursues me and I then hold my fist up at him, that sole act now escalates it from petty theft to now armed robbery.

Now, use your critical thinking skills and apply this to said situation. You might learn a thing or two...

You and all the other idiots say b-bu-but it's just a ticket:sitdown:

300 murders a year
The first officer I had no issue with. IMO he did everything by the book as best he could he was right to restrain the lady and right to pull his tazer as the young dude was approaching

My problem was with this hillbilly ass John Wayne watching b*stard who comes in as back up on the tail end of the situation and opens fire on a van that was.......driving away from them!!

You are taught as officers to go to your weapon on a sound judgement when a imminent threat is present, where was this threat? She pulled no weapon the can was not driving towards the
That was some dukes of hazard cowboy shyt and if that was a white woman with a van full of kids The threat of harming those kids would have run across this officers mind.

It's also disturbing that the name of the woman and her child who is a minor names get released but none of the names of the officers have gotten released

:snoop: I am arguing with a mental midget.

These factors don't come into consideration until the AFTER you've been arrested you dumb ass, they don't automatically give officers the right to take more drastic action.
http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/aggravating_factor
Overview
Any fact or circumstance that increases the severity or culpability of a criminal act. Aggravating factors include recidivism, lack of remorse, amount of harm to the victim, or committing the crime in front of a child, among many others. The recognition of particular aggravating factors varies by jurisdiction
Example
Martha was convicted of two counts of murder. She was sentenced to death because of the aggravating factors pertaining to her crime. Specifically, the aggravating factors were that the murders involved torture and were committed for pecuniary gain.

And please miss me with that bs.
The woman was wrong for resisting arrest allowing the situation to escalate and endangering her children.
The officer was wrong for shooting at a car full of innocent children and if you can't see how then you are a moron.

Are you retarded?

No it escalates the nature of the situation as soon as it is aggravated

You sound retarded, Yes it does automatically give officers the right to take more drastic action. It was initially a minor traffic violation. Then she added felony evasion, resisting arrest, felony assault, and wreckless endangerment. At the moment it is aggravated she then becomes a felony suspect.

To suggest her escalating it doesnt give them right to take felony action on a felony suspect is laughable.

Read this twice, dumbass:sitdown:

Tommy S calmly reported on the incident. The bullets struck nobody, but a 14yo boy was arrested? They were on an edu trip. The dad was very likely AT WORK.

Why this mom of 5 kids didn't just behave herself IS BEYOND ME, brethren.
--Has GTA V taught us nothing? There is no such thing as making a speedy get-away in a mfing mmmmmminivan. Regardless, THIS IS NOT GTA V.
--What's with the arguments and back talk? You can't be defiant in these scenarios. Act clueless or apologetic, but don't tell the officer where to go when you just blew thru a 55mph zone doing 70+.
--The cop is just doing his job. Let him write the damn ticket & finish his shift. You're nobody special. He has ticketed folks before you. He will ticket more speed freaks later.
--This woman can contest the ticket in traffic court. Cops rarely bother to show up when drivers contest tickets in traffic court. Last time I was similarly situated, the traffic court judge was a law student who complimented my suit and cut me a deal that involved money paid (with the option of installment payments) and zero points on my license. I paid it all up front and went on with my life. I was in a good mood coming off of a drinking lunch.
--The kids freaked out because their mom panicked when she could have done nothing and received a mere lecture or ticket. If the cop says to turn off your engine and sit tight, then just comply. If he says to put your hands on the vehicle, then don't panic and run out into traffic. CALM THE fukk DOWN!!!
--I hope the 14yo boy's juvenile record does not complicate his adult life. The family member should take a class on how to interact with cops without panic.

************************

Back in the 90s, my mom would drive a little fast and would take corners ENTIRELY too fast. O_e Dad was constantly repairing the "front end alignment" on her SUVs and minivans. (I would like to imagine that she has slowed down these days, but...)

Back in the 90s, whenever cops pulled over my mother, she'd only get a "slow down" lecture because she was a pretty, charming, medical prof'l with 3+ of us kids in the passenger cabin at any given time. Cops know that kids are expensive, and moms can't afford kids PLUS traffic tickets.

No, sir.
That's white women with yellow hair whose families have been in the USA since the 1770's.
That's not us.

okay, i'll take that back

but i'll say it's because they're so use to going unchecked by men period. watch the video. chick really thought she was going to get out of that situation. that comes from a life time of telling nikkas how it's going to be, and our weak dumbasses submitting to it.
