Living 40+ miles away from the nearest hospital :picard:

Paying MORE in groceries than people living in NY :why:

More obesity, normalized illiteracy, no public transportation. :martin:

Racist CACs and they have eternal strongholds in politics on all levels :mjpls:

Women not having abortion/ reproductive rights. :smh:

Tricking and simping and glorification of sex work because "getting money" is everything. No dignity or morals or even public health safety.
What party of the south are you in that you live 40 miles from the hospital? Oh you're possibly slow and think the south is rural?

The hospitals are waking distance and we have the big ass medical center. Y'all just got on here and display y'all ignorance.

During Covid I was feeling pressed to leave BK. Started looking at housing prices in Texas and it’s cheaper but that margin is closing. Then I saw the whole infrastructure collapse when the temp dropped in Texas and was like I’m good
People already forgot about Texas shutting down like it would never happen again.

One of the best decisions ever for me was leaving Flatbush and ultimately ending up in the south. Now I could never see myself living in the city. On my property I have a fresh water source, wild deer, and land to grow food. I could never have that in Brooklyn.

My cousin showed me a picture of an apartment she was getting in Queens and that shyt was like 500 square foot and cost more than my mortgage :damn:

Most of us moving down there intentionally to move the slower life and aint involved with nobody or nothing that will get them unalived

Plenty of airports have extensive direct international flights breh. This isn't 1973 :heh:

I don't live off the land, I live in a normal suburbs. It's called having a backyard, something we both know you don't have in BK :pachaha:

Move back? when black folks have built these major cities they should return to the south, which ranks last in everything good but first in everything bad?

NAHH.....tell them cacs to move there :camby:
@King Poetic @Ol’Otis @Paper Boi @LezJepzin

This is exactly why you will never hear me support Black Californians who say California is done for us and we should all leave. fukk that! We've done waaayyyyy too much for the state to just roll over and pack up, and to each its own, but that message that we allow ourselves to be pushed out is not something I'll ever advocate for...

Stay there and fight for the neighborhoods we still have, fight for the resources we deserve, continue capitalizing on the opportunities to close inequality gaps right there in California...

Also, I live in the South, so I also have a perspective against this "wonderland" these agendas paint the South as. It's great in spots, and not great in others---->just like Cali and everywhere else...
I don't like the message of running away. I get what he's saying but don't let these cacs run us away from anywhere.

Florida, Georgia, and Texas are the best states to live right now.
North Carolina is better than all these places...
He's right. As a matter of fact, this reverse migration is already happening. Black folk can either be the dominant group and control state and local politics, or stay in the rainbow coalition and beg other groups for consideration of our issues.
The South can be transformed if enough of us act with vision and purpose. NC, SC, LA, AL, MS, VA, MD, DE, and ARK can give a sizable amount of control on the federal level through Black governors, Senators, and Congressional reps. 16 potential Senators and several dozen Congressional reps can force votes on issues pertinent to Black people.
Where is the southern state that black people control the state politics? Show me just one, please...

You guys who push this, everybody return to the South rhetoric, fail to realize or acknowledge two important things. 1, the consequences that'll have for black people in other parts of the country, if, say, 95% of black people lived in The South. And 2, there was a time the South as a region was 40%+ black. The past is an indicator of the future...

No they dont. JFK serves the most international destinations, MIA is number 2 after that it’s not even close as far as destinations and options for departures.

When I wanted a backyard i had one. Plenty to chose from in bed stuy. In December I opted to live in a brand new high rise on the water with a Manhattan view and I got that. If I wanted to live in the suburbs down south I could have done that too

This, is the central reason why, Boston is nowhere on a list of best places for Black people. Majority of us are deeply impoverished there. Boston is an otherwise dope place but it's objectively not a great place for black folk...
Quality of life in the south is extremely overrated
Very...
That makes no sense. More blacks in the south means more political power. How will they erode our rights when we’re the majority?
How did they do it before?
