SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
Tenoch one of the real Mexicans dude knows the history of his people, and has had his foot on Mexicac necks for years. Probably the most militant Latino actor at the moment, he's really on that "Black Love, Brown Pride in the sets again" type of time.
As opposed to somebody like John Leguizamo who is "militant" but hes a white Colombian that sharked Puerto Rican swagger and mannerisms for roles and opens his mouth to talk sideways about Black representation in Hollywood "but what about the Latinos" :mjpls: I also think he was freely using the N word in that movie Gamer like around 2011. I still fukk with Spawn, Tomeo and Juliet, and Carlitos Way though but otherwise :camby:

You're trying too hard.

'Performative' is an imaginary thing you made up in your head to justify attacking dude because you hate hispanics and it burns you up that a hispanic is calling out racism.
How does this make sense? I’m criticizing how he is calling out racism and for what purpose. Where did I say that I hate Hispanics?

I explained exacty how it was performative and the issue here:
And?

You keep honing in on the context, as if I do not understand it and as if it gives any credence to it not being performative at the end of the day.

But that isn’t even my point. One, he used coded language - AKA there is no such thing as “black and brown” power. That would imply that there is “black and brown” unity. And that very phrase “black and brown” unity originates in the context of the US. Him having the gall to use that without understanding the context behind it is an issue.

Two, the actor is literally on stage begging for white Mexican acceptance. On the surface it seems critical, but on a deeper look you can see how it is basically: “Look at how much we sold, please invest in us, please accept us”. It’s performative and basically respectability politics at the end of the day.

Yet you cry that every other race is racist against black people. If there was an alternate racist situation and he stayed silent when asked about it or deflected, you wouldn't hesitate to jump on him for being complicit in racism. Damn'd if he does, damn'd if he doesn't.

I never said Mexicans aren't anti-black. That's another stupid thing you thought of in that autistic mind of yours. Because it's well documented Mexicans have a long history of being anti-black.
As if the bolded is not true. Does white supremacy not exist globally? Doesn’t that refute the very claim you are attempting to make? And I never said I hated Hispanics. And yet, you deny the context of what I said.
Most people here would agree that the black and brown unity thing is a myth, but it doesn't mean you can't simply agree with a brown person when they call out racism. It doesn't make you less militant. You can still attend your little FBA conferences and be in good standing with your fellow militants.

Stop the militant outrage man. It's irrational bullshyt that doesn't allow you to see clearly.
Except the crux of his speech was rooted in “black and brown” unity. So if “most people” believe that it is a myth you’re basically being illogical and oxymoronic. How can it be a myth, but you “simply agree” that is it a reality?

And yet again, don’t twist my words around. I never said that I did not agree that racism, specifically anti-blackness was wrong. I pointed out how this specific speech was surface level.

And one last thing, you lack critical thinking. I already explained how it was performative and used coded language that hides the reality of anti-blackness.

You’re trying to provide a surface level take to a contextual and multilayered critique. But according to a @Worthless Loser like you, a thinking black man standing up for his people is “too militant”.

This forum has gone to shyt.

usually it takes about 3 months but after how fast they had black adam available, I wouldn’t be surprised to be able to stream it next month
Usually it’s after the first 8 weeks. So November 11th will put us around a Jan 11th or 18th on Disney plus.

I think a lot of people have fallen for the okey doke and take the internet as reality. Posting here it’s like black people are simultaneously an endangered species on the brink of extinction while also dictating any and all trends, having the collective finger on the pulse of culture, and leading the charge for radical change on every level. Not that I necessarily disagree, but you see how those two beliefs contradict the other?

A lot of folks would do well just logging off the matrix for a while and enjoying life. I went to a blues concert last night to support an older black gentleman who has really helped me out a lot…but according to the coli I probably went by to burn some effigies and lynched any black I could find.

Are there hateful people out there? fukk yeah. But I’m willing to work with anyone regardless of color if they have compassion and a willingness to cooperate for a truly egalitarian society.
