Yes, numerous times. Was last there August of this year. I understand everyone has there own experiences but to say it's "hell" for black people is simply untrue.

Dude said when he watches Mexican television he thinks he is in a Scandinavian country

I believe it. A lot of colorism across the board. Lighter skin actors and actresses. Some of the men are more brown, but lighter is always highlighted on their screens, similar to Indian, Asian, etc.

And hes speaking out against injustices in his native country.....using the platform that Disney/BP provided. Yall are just miserable, and im a pretty miserable person.
He’s speaking in the context of “black and brown” relations in the context of white supremacy, as if that has zero context related to the US. As if that language isn’t coded. If he’s so bold in saying that, he should acknowledge the brown anti-blackness in America, since he’s in an American movie.

So in other words, he can't win? He calls out racism and he's still attacked by shyt militants who create imaginary shyt in their head to justify shytting on non-black people who call out racism.

Yet all ya'll do it cry about other races 24/7.
You really think you’re doing something, c00n :mjlol: Are you even black?

I guess we all imagined this shyt. @Worthless Loser believes that Mexicans in the US aren’t anti-black. And that black people just “imagine” this racism and “cry 24/7”

You really live up to your username. fukk you and all of the other worthless losers who dapped your post.

And at the end of the day, it’s all performative. He’s advocating for white Mexican acceptance on some respectability bullshyt.

That’s wild, I can’t lie though, before seeing city of god I didn’t even think black folks was in Brazil. Everything I seen before was white folks or light skinned people that look white. After watching that I did my own research and seen it’s more black folks there than here! shyt blew my mind.

Brazil had the highest African slave count. Didn't even abolish slavery until like 1908.

Had to bring in Italians and Germans just to balance out the population. Good documentary on Amazon on it.

And?

You keep honing in on the context, as if I do not understand it and as if it gives any credence to it not being performative at the end of the day.

But that isn’t even my point. One, he used coded language - AKA there is no such thing as “black and brown” power. That would imply that there is “black and brown” unity. And that very phrase “black and brown” unity originates in the context of the US. Him having the gall to use that without understanding the context behind it is an issue.

Two, the actor is literally on stage begging for white Mexican acceptance. On the surface it seems critical, but on a deeper look you can see how it is basically: “Look at how much we sold, please invest in us, please accept us”. It’s performative and basically respectability politics at the end of the day.

You're trying too hard.

'Performative' is an imaginary thing you made up in your head to justify attacking dude because you hate hispanics and it burns you up that a hispanic is calling out racism. Yet you cry that every other race is racist against black people. If there was an alternate racist situation and he stayed silent when asked about it or deflected, you wouldn't hesitate to jump on him for being complicit in racism. Damn'd if he does, damn'd if he doesn't.

I never said Mexicans aren't anti-black. That's another stupid thing you thought of in that autistic mind of yours. Because it's well documented Mexicans have a long history of being anti-black.

Most people here would agree that the black and brown unity thing is a myth, but it doesn't mean you can't simply agree with a brown person when they call out racism. It doesn't make you less militant. You can still attend your little FBA conferences and be in good standing with your fellow militants.

Stop the militant outrage man. It's irrational bullshyt that doesn't allow you to see clearly.
