Brazil had the highest African slave count. Didn't even abolish slavery until like 1908.

Had to bring in Italians and Germans just to balance out the population. Good documentary on Amazon on it.

Heard the Caporistas were giving Brazil hell until like the 1960's. They tried to kill them all in a War they knew they were gonna lose but apparently Capoeira helped them in the war.

Is this the guy that plays Namor? He’s been putting his foot on necks for a hot minute

He had to play those demeaning roles and now he got Disney clout. He was speaking out then but now it makes it look even worse. Cause it is BAD.

You'd think all of those areas based on Telemundo/Univision everyone looks like Sergio Martinez. Heck just watch MMA and you'll see tons of Brazilians look like Anderson Silva.

He's telling no lies.

What was crazy if I recall the documentary was the years of slavery in S. America made them open the doors for the Nazi's fleeing Europe during WW2 just to balance out the slave population.

They tried to enslave the natives but they all died of disease and then they went to Africa due to (unfortunately) similar climates of both regions. Just a rough sit. And then it showed how the ramifications economically and socially still stand from those hundreds of years of slavery.

The more he’s spoken the more I’ve seen how bad things are. I saw a thread on Argentina on twitter and how they erased all their black people

Lupitas parents are Kenyan

It’s wild you even had to type this out. Did that nikka think she’s Mexican?! :dead:
Lupita Amondi Nyong'o (US: /luːˈpiːtə ˈnjɔːŋoʊ/, Kenyan; [luˈpita ˈɲoŋo] ( listen); Spanish: [luˈpita ˈɲoŋɡo]; born 1 March 1983) is a Kenyan-Mexican[2] actress.

...
Lupita Amondi Nyong'o was born on 1 March 1983 in Mexico City,[2] [3][4][5] to Kenyan parents, Dorothy Ogada Buyu[6][7] and Peter Anyang' Nyong'o, a college professor. The family had left Kenya in 1980 for a period because of political repression and unrest; Peter's brother, Charles Nyong'o, disappeared after he was thrown off a ferry in 1980.[8]

Nyong'o holds dual Kenyan and Mexican citizenship and identifies as "Kenyan-Mexican".[9]

She's got Mexican citizenship, identifies as a mexican citizen, is (racism notwithstanding) entitled to the same rights as mexicans, was born in mexico and is fluent in Mexican Spanish. Or does she not count because her parents weren't born in Mexico?
