Developing our own movie system is what would create more opportunities for black creatives.

Compare the amount of black ball players and ancillary black businesses attached to the negro leagues before Jackie Robinson started playing for the MLB. There gone now. We need our own thing.

Also, a look at the Black Panther IMdb shows that the majority of the crew is white, except for the animation and cgi teams which are mostly asian.
Black Panther (2018) - Full Cast & Crew - IMDb

You can't reason with these simpletons.
They don't care about black advancement, they just want whites to recognize them and give a few of them some crumbs off the table.
shyt is sad as hell

Only a cac can make nikkas lose their minds like this

nikkas ignored all those Spike Lee movies..when son was feeding mad nikkas

Real life stories too

But can't stop sucking off massa over this flick

This is false. Spike Lee joints did well for their time. You can’t compare Spike Lee working mostly outside the big tent studio system to fuccing Disney.

The hype around this movie is (BP) is as much a byproduct of it leading to another huge film (Infinity War) connected to a larger universe as it is being a slick big budget Afro-centric looking superhero marketed to black folk. Just accept this is some unique shyt and enjoy it for what it is.

I’m starting to believe these alt-rightsock puppets have infected this site completely cause your talking points sound identical.

you do know that generational wealth is literally a person creating wealth and then... passing it down to the next generation right you confused dumbasses. Like it’s not something that just happens, actions have to be taken for it to happen.

Same with generational opportunity .

Ryan Coogler was poor and homeless, likely because his parents were poor, (like most people who are poor)

Through hard work, he is no longer poor, which means his children will not be poor, which is generational wealth. There are other means of gen. Wealth and opportunity besides creating businesses which is the go to argument for faux militants. Entrepreneurship is one way to create wealth, but not the only way. Fact is most people, regardless of race DO NOT OWN BUSINESSES.

His working for marvel and his other films means that he passes down (one day) a black director to also get the same opportunities he did.

The same way Denzel Washington and Will Smith paved a way for Michael B Jordan who eats directly off of work that Sidney Poitier put in, in old Hollywood, as did Washington and Will Smith.

Is that so hard to understand? It has to be created.

If you were poor, and you are not now, your children will not be (for their childhood)

Create wealth and opportunity by bettering your situation. Don’t complain, just work

The cast of BP, are all creating future opportunity for blacks And I’m sure for their families

Is it generational wealth when a black actor has a white wife, and their biracial sons marry white women and have 25 percent Black kids?

This is an emotional neg coming from a dikkless fanboy who loves something that Jews created and own. A black face but not a black owned property. See how far these negroes would go to defend something that isn’t even brought to us by us? It’s a real shame these lil fanboys would fight tooth and nail over something the wm created and operates. If it WASNT for them, he wouldn’t even have his lame ass avi and namesake. That’s absolutrly pathetic, no matter how you spin it. Now go create a umad smilie, like a female.

Kansas City, MO.
the only positive out of this is that it is undeniable that black actors can succeed in outside markets
so black film makers need to start taking advantage and stop relying on hollywood for funding
This should be the big take away. Hopefully, investors like athletes/actors/musicians can see the huge payday on deck for black comic book movies. I know the breh that does "Kids 2 Kings" posts on here and maybe this opens up serious meetings with people to put his vision on screen.

But yeah, i'll keep saying it, it's the "woke people of color" doing too much. It's not nikka-nerds, but unfortunately nikka-nerds catching strays.
Anyways, I'm amped to see this Friday and we got Planet ComicCon here this weekend. :blessed:

That's what I said in the last BP thread

There's no balance in these topics, just pointless fights that nobody will win.

This may create more avenues for black actors and directors in certain spaces.

With that said, don’t call it pro-black. shyt was created by Jews marketed towards black people for obvious reasons. Most people seeing it are only going on as comics fans.

This isn’t a victory for us.

HBCUs were created by white people as well and were essentially funded by the US government to keep blacks out of their white colleges...to have a place for their black workers to be educated (not too educated though, they still wanted their blacks placated and subservient and willing to work for their companies :mjpls:). Some were founded for slave owners to send their biracial b*stard kids there. That’s the history of HBCUs in the USA.

Are Morehouse, Howard & Spelman no longer pro-black either? Your logic shaky right now.

This WILL create more avenues for black actors and directors and anything that does that is pro black.
But have to wait until the wm scrounges up money for HIS movie to be made is NOT pro-Black

Anything that puts black people in a better situation going forward is pro black.

Even if the money is coming from nonblacks?? You fine of them controlling the narrative, putting black faces, and you call that “pro-black??” :skip:

It surely is a victory when something is predominately black acted, directed and written by blacks. It’s not really that complicated.
How if the primary factor that determines the movie comes from white or nonblack benifactors?? That’s stupid.

Truth is, you guys have a hard time being happy for blacks, like a lot of blacks.
Nah, we actually see what’s going on, you are too bent on symbolism that benefits a handful of black people. This isn’t BOAN. This is a white created, white fund project. THEY control the narrative, not us.

There is no one solution to the black plight. It’s piece by piece.

“Black” is 400 years old, and has thousands to go, this one situation makes things possible hundreds of years from now that we likely won’t get to see.

Work that Sidney Poitier put in 50-60 years ago, helped a black persons eat in 2018, that’s generational opportunity, friend.
Such bullshyt, but whatever

Not symbolism, facts

Not talking about the imagery of BP, but the work.

Big pieces of Denzel Washington’s career is only possible because of Sidney Poitier, and Denzel Washington started a whole new avenue of wealth that he’ll pass down to his children

m0916_nb_denzelson_a-044f91ff-4a1f-42cd-b702-4d1b31a32310.jpg

His son is here because of his father, who’s here partly because of Poitier

Who grew up outside of Poverty because of work his father put in.
And what about your black ass?? What benefit does this movie, a fictional movie set in a fictional world, empowers you?

A lot of adults are too cynanical to really appreciate this movie and understand it’s importance. But for a kid in the hood this can be life changing. I know when i was a kid my idols were fictional characters...and all of them were white. I never had a black character on the magnitude of Black Panther. I remember just naturally gravitating towards Bishop from X-men cuz he was the only character i remembered that look like me. I’m more excited for my nephews to see it than me personally seeing it. I always bought them Black Panther toys and comic books cuz i don’t want them to only identify white=super. For them to finally see it on the big screen is gonna mean a whole lot to them. Some of ya just need to knock it out, if you not planning to support to this movie in any way just fall back and let the rest of us celebrate this film instead of tryna force your opinions on other people on why we shouldn’t.
