How did you beat him so fast? In my New Game + run, I equipped my strongest armor and weapon and it still took me 5 mins

jingubang all the way charged up is a killer.

I was honestly surprised he died that fast, and I don't think being cursed at the same time has any effect on my strength, so I'm guessing just The Smash stance and the Staff being at full critical helped with it.
Having certain curios might've helped too.

Yeah, I've used Yin Tiger since getting him and figured that one out, but the last third is ridiculous -and by that point Yin is on cooldown- and you basically have no time/room to fukk up and then try to heal. Just have to dodge like crazy and pray

The 4 heavenly Kings fight was unexpectedly a fun fight

For those that beat the game, here's some lore about the two endings I found on a YouTube comment section

Spoiler: Ending Lore

The final boss was a cycle, a test if you become the Real Wukong. The 5 relics are like 5 horcruxes, each contains a part of Wukong’s soul, which shattered as he died. However in Chinese-Buddhism, one’s soul should have 6 pieces, the sixth and biggest part of Wukong’s soul fell into the circle of life, and was reborn as the Destined One.

In the Bad Ending, the Destined One, (who hasn't done all of the side quests) doesn't possess Wukong's memories or 6th piece, that's why he does not wake after the fight because he is an incomplete vessel, 5 relics without the 6th piece or the mind. (you will hear the sigh of the old monkey as he proceeds to put the crown back, repeating the cycle for another Destined One to beat YOU as the final boss, the empty vessel).

Now, in the Good Ending, the Destined One, (who has done all of the side quests, especially when you received Wukong's memories through Erlang's 3rd eye) has awakened the Wukong inside of him and receives all of relics as he now completes the 6 pieces of Wukong's soul (with the 6th piece or the mind), making you, 100% reincarnation of Wukong.

In the bad ending, you just replaced the boss you just beat and remain there until another Destined One comes and beat you

Wukong's memories are stored in Erlang's third eye, so when you beat him, he pass those memories to you... atleast that's what I understood from the fight

erlang shen and wukong are on cahoots. wukong running away to the forest and erlang followed him at the beginning of the game was all an act between them so that erlang shen took and stored wukong's memories in his third eye after wukong committed suicide and make the world think that erlang beat wukong. they both despise the celestial court with deeply rooted reasons. thus, fighting erlang shen and beating him, he will give you wukong's memories, refuse the band, start off the journey that Sun Wukong never experienced throughout his dog life. Sun Wukong lost in battle for such an unfair reason (the golden band) but won in life, having his descendant continue his legacy, his life.

finally got around to playing/beating this game because of the hurricane. really like that this game is as hard or easy as you want to make it, without necessarily having a difficulty setting.

I had an idea that this was the case, but it's a great twist to continuing through to the next playthrough.

Yeah Yellow Loong is so hard to beat. I could've prolly been done with chapter 4, but im hellbent on beating this dude

He even punishes u with a high damage move if you successfully counter him with Rock Solid
