i know, but u still have to make that trek regardless if you die. THAT'S my issue

I beat No-Void but these are basic quality-of-life things that games should know to do by now
There is a shrine in the Temple, and the enemies there aren’t really that aggressive you can run past 90% of them

Yes, I know. but u still have to trek from the shrine, and run up to the top of the temple to run back the fight.

I'm saying that you shouldn't have to make that trip every time. If you die, you should have an option to retry. if you choose to retry, you spawn outside the door to rematch No-Void. If you choose not to retry, you can spawn outside the shrine, maybe set different spells or something.

These are simple QoL features games have had for god knows how long

I feel that. I think the lack of QoL features is almost intentional to make the game harder

No minimap, no quest tracking, no waypoints, no item info…you just play and figure it out or google it

It could be a mix of intentional design and just being a byproduct of Game Science being a new company and the team just not thinking about the QoL stuff.

i feel like they should test the game for these kinda things. we're talking about a basic checkpoint system that all games should have in 2024

And they kinda do the checkpoint thing because if you die to the Loong hidden bosses (like black loong for example), you respawn close to him
I also died first try to that electric woman in chapter 3 and they respawned me to an area near her that wasn't from a shrine.

The issue is, it's not consistent at all.

LOL in chapter 4 there's a way to grind levels like crazy

went from level 68 to level 94 in about 1 hr

Steps:
max out Rage Burst on Ashen Slumber (have Mad Tiger equipped as well for extra attack stat)
go to the Pool of Shattered Jade shrine
take a right into a nest of spiders in coc00ns
get in the center of all of them
transform into Ashen Slumber and use Rage Burst
watch the EXP and Will come in by the thousands
