I don't know if it is true, but I'll ask.

Is it true that 78% of black children from 1960 to present are raised by a single mother? If this is the case, (which I have a hard time believing) then wouldn't that explain why so many are downlow, and men who easily go gay in jail? Why there are so many black women today searching for a black man to marry? I'm not talking about the women who are ratchet, over weight/ugly, bad attitude, government assistance queens, strippers, and hoes. The black women who went to school and now have their careers and can't find a "good man" like they continue to say.

Yo I don't know anymore. I was raised by my dad instead of my mom. Though, I don't have the hatred towards black women and I don't c00n for white flesh. My mom is still in my life, but yes they divorced before I even hit kindergarden, yet I'm 100% straight.

its not an epidemic of worthless men, it's an epidemic of shytty choices by women. these dudes are really a minority w/multiple kids by multiple women. 3-4 BM can create over 100+ b*stard kids with the help of those willing single mothers.

I missed this but great questions and its something I often wondered about which is the differences in American family culture vs the Caribbean. Single mothers exist world wide but I think 72% of black children in the US are born to single women. My folks still married and I asked what was their secret for longevity. My pops was a reformed dog but my mom said she "she saw but did not see and she heard but did not hear" those were her words. Moms knew her place and the fact that most Caribbean countries are masculine I take that to be the main reason we are different than American blacks. American blacks do not have a culture, the backbone of their families are women. This is a whole other thread we can spin but if I were to put a finger on the main reason this problem is prevalent in America would be the fact that black america is bytch made.

I dont agree when people say American blacks have no culture. They do. It's just that among all the black cultures in the world, america black culture is the one that more closely resembles european culture. That's mainly because they spent their entire existence in a country that is dominated by whites while completely isolated from other blacks. But still their culture is their culture and it's no less of culture than any others.

But back to the subject: I grew up in Haiti and my mom and pops were married until my dad passed away. Most of the people on my neighborhood there were married couples but there were a few boys here and there that I knew that didnt know their dads and were raised strictly by their moms. Still didnt see the effeminate effects in them.

As for that 72% number people keep waving around i dont put much stock into it. American is the land of smart-dumb mofos. They have universities and colleges to calculate everything they know and even things they dont know. 72% may seem like a high number but I wouldnt be surprised if those numbers were on-par with the rest of the world. You have to take into account that the rest of the world doesnt have smart-dumb mofos with nothing better to do than calculate single mothers.

I PERSONALLY KNOW men in the Caribbean that have 25+ kids. Notice i said mEn as in plural. I'm sure if they were keeping statistics the caribbean and other men around the world wouldnt be much different than those of american blacks.

So again explain to me how this is an "only in america" problem

What's not talked about enough, is how kids being raised by single mothers literally tripled for all races not just black in the 1990s

What happened in the 90s you ask? Bill Clinton welfare reform happened.

So many black women as well as everyone else tell the aid offices they don't know where the father is so they can get they food stamps, medical cards, cash from the state and affordable housing.

The only thing you gain getting married when you live in poverty is affecting that 72% Stat. Past that in order to keep the lights and heat on and keep food on the table and get section 8 not being married benefits you the most. Hell you can get more in ya tax returns when you not married cause now you can get 2 checks back instead of 1.That is not a true indication of whether father's are in the home or not. You have to be amongst the community to determine that and I just see personally myself, too many father's with they kids now a days.
