A black therapist may understand "black issues" more being as they have similar experiences. Its like how can one expect Trump to truly understand the struggle and poor and working class when he never had to experience that and walk in others shoes.
it's amazing how we went from obama to trump just like that. what was America thinking? usa needs more ethnic presidents, ya heard.

I agree. I mean Prez Obama wasn't perfect...and a lot criticized him including our black folks....but he did good overall. Some wanted him to be less moderate but I think he was a good fit for this country. But we as a country really dropped the ball with Trump....but some didn't feel comfortable voting for a woman prez plus we know her and her husband and with the email scandals and their rep for being crooked. Then we (dem party especially) underestimated Trump and the white working class Americans who felt disenfranchised and upset. Its really sad...but yea I agree we do need more ethnic presidents and some who went thru the struggle or at least was working class.

I'm going to be honest I don't have this problem if you've shown me on more than one occasion that you lack the ability to empathize whether you so called family or friend it's fukk you period.

My upbringing probably made situation like these easier to deal with though.

Biggest complaints I've had are the isolation as a black professional (you never know how legit white folks are) and in teh past family treating you like a c00n for getting a college education. That changed a while back when they started seeing my checks and my shine :jawalrus:

And, in professional environments you probably have at least one racist interaction a day.

Thsts crazy bro:snoop:

I think of seeing a professional sometimes but I don't want to be prescribed medication that'll alter my natural body chemistry. Plus the time to do talk for an hour isn't there now. I need to push through by creating. I want to use a medium (music) to touch on the societal and subsocietal standards that have me feeling trapped and bound but that's something I'm not really eager to share.

All I can do right now is exercise and get back working on this book trilogy so I can express without dealing with set standards. Traveling and getting out of my area and even country for a different perspective would be nice but isn't feasible right now.
