For a black forum there are a lot of people who lack empathy for black men.
I guess since they don't have a p*ssy you can fukk or aren't the same gender as you, you don't care.
This is a big part of the problem. Men(especially Black men) have no interest in showing any vulnerability, and we’ve been taught by society that men that do are “soft”, “overly feminine”, and “not deserving of being a man”.
I was talking to a friend of mine a couple years ago, and he made the point that society allows girls to naturally blossom into women, there aren’t any barriers like there are for boys, boys have to earn our manhood, and throughout the rest of our lives we’re burdened with having to continuously qualify to be considered a man amongst our peers. Constant bombardment with illogical qualifiers that only get harder the more disadvantaged you are in this society, we’re cogs in the machine. No one sees us for who we truly are, but instead for how we can benefit their lives, that results in a lot of men feeling bitter, hollow, unwanted, and taken for granted. We’re in a vicious cycle that must be broken if we ever wish to be more than just a means to an end, and I think we have the collective power to change this, but first we’ll have to collectively see each other(Black/men) as well as ourselves as more than what we have been taught.
