Ages 18 to 25 are especially cruel to black men, it’s the age range where men are figuring themselves out and trying to build themselves up, their value as men are at their lowest in this age group based on the idea that men must be financially stable and able to provide all these things they see on social media. If they don’t have it or don’t have the means it’s depressing and dehumanizing.
I went through this and took so many L’s in that age range and it’s hard to not just wanna give up sometimes but my advice to other dudes is to keep your head down and keep working at becoming a better man than you was yesterday. Baby steps lead to major steps, it’s a marathon not a sprint, don’t compare your life to no one else, it truly is the thief of joy.
