You still gotta lift heavy and carry heavy before you can get into boxing and BBJ dumbass. Stop with this stupid mindset of acting like weight lifting is for "cacs". Boxers can still be held down if someone is stronger than them. Floyd Mayweather could fukk up all his bodyguards but if they caught him alone just ONE alone could easily tie him up because they are STRONGER than him.

Lift weights enough and also practice your carrying strength with liftings things like tires or logs to build stability

THEN later on get into HIIT cardio, boxing, muay thai etc. Be well rounded.

The same cacs you talk about do everything while yall keep acting like you allergic to lifting weights

Ground turkey been working for me, no oil in the pan, just a non stick pot, I also eat alot of broccoli and cauliflower, both steamed, it's been a transformation in my physique. Also, pick up a sport. Doesn't have to be competitive. I do soccer training drills and I shoot hoops at the park aside from hitting the gym of course.

Bruh the first day with this nikka was just...smh

When I left the gym I thought I was gonna have to pull over and call earl brehs.
:patrice:
Whoever told me to just jump in it, really shouldn’t have gassed me like that. Ima look through my alerts and let y’all know who it is, so y’all won’t take any advice from this cat

To the breh that’s skinny too;
It’s only been a few days breh and I’m always hungry.
On bime, I ate 15 wings (a lot for me) and was still hungry
Breh, get on some supplements asap
I walked into a supplement store and dude str8 up tried to get me on ‘gear.’ I didn’t say anything remotely close to ‘gear’ but my frailness spoke for me.

"just jump in" is terrible advice.............you will either get injured ,or sore and discouraged from going back.

oh, and whoever told you to take supplements gave you bad advice also.

:damn:
Breh where were you when I was asking these questions?

Edit: no one told me to take supplements, but I have common sense.

Explain how someone telling you to take supplements is bad advice.
Breh, I don’t even think you know what supplement means. You do know a multivitamin is a supplement, right?

You have to learn how to research better. Whenever I want to understand something, I create a Venn Diagram in my head. Any subject will have "factions". I study all sides and find the overlap. That's usually where the correct answers lie. Simple, I know. But people don't understand nuance, and are quick to latch on to the first thing they hear and roll with it from there.

I had a homeboy I was trying to help improve his physique. He's 5'5" 150 and skinny fat. And to make matters worse, he has no facial hair and frequently gets confused for a young teenager. Nothing about his presence commands respect. We went to get drinks one time and the waitress didn't believe he was 24. She even called over another waitress to look at his ID. She was the same age as him :skip:

I tried to help him develop a routine for fitness and nutrition and he called it C.T. Fletcher Bro-science. I sat there flabbergasted, because obviously if he knows who Fletcher is, then he's done research on his own. Yet his mind only let him get to CT Fletcher and whatever he read talking about CT being full of shyt.

Nothing in him said to dig deeper and find out what does work.

So instead he lumped all fitness advice into the the realm of CT Fletcher Broscience. It was incredible.

And for reference. I'm 6'4 240 @12% BF and highly athletic. But apparently I don't know shyt :bryan:

And to make it worse, my best friend played college football and now owns a high end gym in Atlanta. He even won some high-profile bodybuilding shows. You think my boy has hit him up as a resource? Nope. His ignorance keeps him ignorant, and his pride just cements that shyt.

The same way you shouldn't "jump into" weight training........you also shouldn't start taking dietary supplements when you start working out.

Get a book or info about food and nutrition. Try to tailor your diet for whatever your goals are. Design a food program for weight gain, in your case. Understand what is going into your body.

If you reach a plateau, or if you find that you can't get the amount of calories or the nutrients you need from food , THEN you can then make an educated decision about which supplements to take.
The books I recommended in this thread are to help people educate themselves and make choices that suit their goals.

I suggest you read post #149 of this thread.or

It’s self defense/mma training. I weight train on my own. Ima stick with it tho.

Every time I just “jumped into weight training.”

Even when I was drinking heavy (I quit drinking) and smoking (still on b&m’s smh) I saw exceptional results and had no injuries. “Jumped into weight training.

I do need to read up more on diet and nutrition (will start with post #149).
The supplement stuff you’re saying still isn’t 100% right in all cases (take me for example at :picard:% body fat).
