It is 100% better than nothing, but I feel like that's a cop out for a lot of people. Most people don't walk enough, and usually the ones that say that aren't walking in my experience. They usually have bad dietary habits that are also a huge factor.
My boy's gone but not far gone, his family are all in good shape. All built like line backers.
My grandma used to be a member of this seniors walking club where she's do a few KMs every Wednesday, not including all the places she'd walk to on the daily.
There's not short cuts when I comes to health, it's hard to stay healthy. If it was easy everyone would do it.
Na 100% there should be a progressive overload in any exercise over time. That’ll usually kick that “not doing enough” habit. Walk a little bit longer, or a quicker pace and eventually you’ll realize shyt is too easy because you got your shyt together. Always measure, but don’t marry the numbers: they just hold you accountable.
I say kinda the same, in that there are no shortcuts, and the only way through it is straight through it, but imo the difficulty is in consistency at the start and having a sound plan in the first place. If you have a goal and know what it takes to get there, you just have to stick to the plan regardless of results. So many ppl I know fall off the wagon because they try to undo a decade of bad habits in a season, and get disappointed when the results aren’t that fast. You gotta fall in love with the process and the results will follow. Then it’s just a lifestyle
But once you’re in shape, it’s so much easier to maintain than to get back/up to it in the first place.
