This isn't to discount Sub-Saharan African women's entrepreneurial accomplishments, but to move away from the retarded idea that capital success somehow ends patriarchal control of women's bodies, namely the mutilation of their genitals to prevent "pre-marital" or "extramarital" sexual activity.

You're entirely right, education is one of, if not the, most important factor. Its no coincidence that Burkina Faso has one of the lowest literacy rates in the world and one of the highest rates of FGM.
Unfortunately, European underdevelopment has caused many issues with current development of education systems in a number of these countries. Not to mention religious indoctrination and the development of conflict zones. If most of the posters on this board weren't so incredibly focused on obsessing about starting businesses, and actually cared about the issue, there could be a far more robust conversation on this board about it.

Majority of AA idealolgy is rooted from their time in America and having to adapt to the enviornment. Back in the days, different states in china and japan used to bind a girls feet in shows too small for her. This would cause many women injury in the hopes of having small and more appealing feet. Today it's still practiced but is old and outdated, just like female mutilation. Male gential mutilation is still very propular throughout Europe and Americas.

At this point its best to ignore posters. What you have is younger people coming up on information via self teaching. While they are hungry for info they are also not being guided by someone who actually knows the truth thus they can fully understand the info they are consuming. So these people run to online forums and start speaking in subjects they know nothing about. Most of us have gone through that stage but had the sense to keep our damn mouths shut.
