Black male H.S. graduation rates lag behind whites

I wouldn't quite exonerate women as a whole. I think multiple actors can be blamed. Men of all racial groups lag behind female counterparts, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that black men are included in similar dichtomy, our schools have longstanding issues on how to teach males. I do think most schools lean towards gynocentric modes of teaching. This videos makes a more compelling argument than I could.

That's the thing. I truly believe that women can have a negative or positive influence on men. However, to blame black women for every negative thing regarding black men is just tired, weak, and it doesn't solve the problem. Again, when are we going to hold people accountable for THEIR actions?

All im sayin is this..if more women had babies with nikkas that are set/comfortable in life than lil kee kee from around the corner, then the black race would be better off in 50 years...thats all i was saying...not to say all black women do that, but a significant enough of them do so that the cycle continues.

People keep forgetting that entire civilizations were built off of men trying to impress and attract women. Forget men not being motivated because women don't require that out of their men. These women actually discourage black males being smart. Even the biggest hoodrats could brag about getting a B on a paper, but if a black boy is getting A's in school he is told things like "you tyna ack white" or "you talk like you white" or "you a smarty arts nikka". Black women don't get teased for being smart. Black boys get shyt on for it. Why would someone who grows up seeing how smart black boys get treated decide to go that route when 90% of black girls want Swagnificent? Don't tell me you don't like that NOW. We are talking bout teens here. The same women bragging about their sons being on honor roll know damn well THEY weren't checking for the boys that were like their sons. I've heard countless stories of intelligent black boys who decided to turn into Odog just to attract women. COUNTLESS.

Do you think that black culture does not value education? Is the culture of African Americans inferior to the culture of immigrants and White Americans? This is basically the implication your making every time you assert that there are cultural reasons to blacks failing in the educational system.

Black people have an anti-intellectual culture as a RESULT of the reality and conditions of which they must contend with.

When you live on an Island, you have an ocean going culture.
When you live in the mountains, you have a trekking culture.
When you live in 15% unemployment, ghettos filled with narcotics, laws that have been international recognized as racist incarcerating your community, and rampant gun proliferation due to a society that has no interest in control, tell me what your culture is going to be?

I'm not blaming anyone or absolving anyone of responsibility. Remember we are talking about YOUNG, IMPRESSIONABLE TEENS and sometimes CHILDREN. When you're 9 years old you don't know about the outcome of taking the "bad boy" road. All you know is you saw Latrell act that way and all the girls love him. After about age 16 (depending on where you live) you should know that going that route won't end well for you. It's obvious to me, but the environments we're talking about don't seem to find that out until it's too damn late.
