Even if that was the case (which I don't believe it to be) then that still makes him a CAC. If you're fighting against your own, then you're cut off from that point forward.
if other party has Gun drawn out your more than likely going to run first unless its taken out less than a foot in front of you and if you have skilled hands can do something about it...other than that a gun drawn out in an offensive stance usually will make you run or freeze not lunge forward at the attacker...not even Bruce Lee would try to attack if a gun is pointed at him from a distance he can't neutralize from
but if George came up to Trayvon with gun in hand that changes the circumstances completely and Trayvon is the one who is defending himself and Zimmerman is the aggressor and can have lethal force used against him
but in all cases of fighting and self defense without witnesses it boils down to he said she said...dont' do that to yourself avoid confrontation completely only fight in controlled atmosphere with rules and clear contest objectives

The issues of who killed trayvon martin was not up for debate. Zimmerman killed him.
The issue was it done in self defense.
Ergo, the onus to prove self defense should have been placed on Zimmerman.
Reasonably speaking I could not say who was the agressor, but given the actual evidence that could be proven BEYOND a reasonable doubt we know ZImmerman stalked Trayvon, even after beign directed not to do so. THAT is a fact. You could not prove one way or another "beyond a reasonable doubt" that Trayvon was on top, nor did the trial ever attempt to do so.
Of the "Facts", the only fact that stand the scrutiny of evidence is that Zimmerman killed Trayvon after following him.
Everything after that is basically not provable and demands you take the word of a killer over a dead kid.
Had Zimmerman been required to prove he was defending himself we might infer other things, but he was not. Based on images of his jacket and the small as cuts he had on his head I'd be hardpressed to believe Zimmerman's story beyond a reasonable doubt.

Now this jury wants the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it wasn't self defense.
Ummm.... how can that be possible when there are no other witness accounts to the event?
What we do know is that with his entire life on the line Zimmerman refused to testify in his own defense of a self defense case.
Zimmerman was more willing to shoot an unarmed teenager in a fist fight than he was to testify in his own behalf.
Amazing. Yet the jury never considered that to be of relevance to the case? Why, because they trying to go by the letter of the law????
Of course, these idiots are going to say that now just as Zimmerman said he killed Trayvon out of self defense.
The evidence was there to convict Zimmerman of Manslaughter. To blame the prosecution is a scapegoating, cop out mentality. I can only fathom how Trayvon's parents are dealing with these idiotic juror comments.

It's easy to say what you would do in a situation. Everyone reacts differently. Still no excuse for the profiling and refusal to back off when the authorities said otherwise.
