Okay y'all. I had to go back in cause these comments have too much truth behind them.
I remember back in January I was walking back to my apartment from the bar. I see this 120 pound soaking wet #newblack wearing skinny jeans, a jean jacket, and some chuck taylors walking towards me on the sidewalk with his asian girlfriend (I guess he was trying to bring her back to his place). I guess I was looking sort of "thuggish" wearing my air jordan cement 3s, a pair of grey camo pants, a north face jacket, and my bones snapback on. I just go to my pocket to grab my phone...and all of a sudden this breh gets visibly shook (he probably thought I was gonna rob em or something) and directs his girl to the other side of the street just so they don't cross my path.
Yes, that's right, this black man was scared to walk towards me...and probably took an extra 15 minutes out of their way to go home just so they wouldn't cross my path on the sidewalk.
My point being most of these suburban newblacks have internalized stereotypes made by whites of black people as violent, criminal, unsafe, etc....I mean, I expect that from non-black people cause in general we're just more dynamic and intimidating looking than other races...but from black people? SMFH.
